Born in the projects of East Orange, life starting out was more a harsh reality then one with a golden spoon. Known as "Brick City", crime, murder, and kidnapping was on a widespread with little hope for any child to make it out with honorable merits. Once in Houston, they moved to the south side, their bond grew stronger and closer as they spent just about every moment together and was able to share memorable experiences. They now had new challenges to take on, a new city, and new opportunities. A.M. aka Aries Mogul, Alpha Mook aka The Great Shepard, member of New Legend, was born in East Orange, New Jersey but was raised in Houston, Texas. His mother took him to school as baby where she attended Penn State University. Alpha's nickname growing up in New Jersey was Mookie as a toddler and has stuck with him ever since. When A.M. turned four, he and his father moved to Houston Texas, while his brother, P.M., lived in Newark with his mother for a year before joining Alpha. Living on the southwest side of Houston, Alpha faced many hardships daily. Moving from apartment to apartment, elementary to elementary, Aries barely had time to Make friends so his best friend has and has been his little brother. Alpha has had a passion for music since the age of four. His interest first took place when he was playing his father's new stereo system he had just bought in '95. Every time his father would leave for work he would leave play with his cassettes and attempted  to make music. All was good tell his father came home early one day and saw young Al covered up in cassette tape all wrapped around him. After receiving a whooping that day, A.M passion for music has increased. Alpha started school in the suburbs. Coming from New Jersey, in addition to also being Liberian, when they first came to elementary school, they were put in speech classes because teachers and students couldn't comprehend what the two boys were saying. Alpha started rapping at age nine and formed a group called "OCP" going under the name of Lil Blaze. Alpha Mook has been described as the "MC of the Future". With his ability to spit lyrics that pack an amazing punch! His versatility is unmatched. From painting stories to spitting "Swaged out" lyrics. A.M. has done shows in Houston, Lubbock, and Austin, Texas and plans on going on tour in 2014. Look out for Alpha Mook and Prince Meridian EP, "A.M.P.M. EP" releasing on MLK day 2014.
