Transmissions of sounds from the interzone and beyond.

I am very passionate about music, art, writing/ethnography, and my typewriter...among many other things :) I first started painting, finger painting, when I was four and haven't stopped yet.I began singing when I was 9 years old. I took part in choir and we sang many hymnals. I always loved the melodies of the old medieval hymns. Around that time I decided to get serious about learning the guitar, piano, and recording the melodies in my head. 
Soundtracks to movies were probably my greatest inspiration for music as a child and to this day. Patrick Doyle, Adrian Johnston, Brian Eno, and Danny Elfman great influences of mine, just to name a few. Lately, (2013), I have been working in two duo projects, TIna and the Goose (with Manning Burns) and Dance on the Hourglass (with Patrick Browning) and recorded and released two debut EPs - Today's Telepathic Abduction of Yesterday by Tina & the Goose and self-titled Dance on the Hourglass. 
As for my solo project, I am currently working on recording an album which will be finished by the end of August.  The song list will be a combination of my most recent to re-vamped melodies written and churned over the past few years.  I am currently residing in my home town in south Florida and will be recording using very practical and inexpensive equipment in the rooms of my house ( with sunlight and beach noises for extra effect!) Although all 10 songs on the record were written at different times and are about different subjects, I hope to meld them together into a sort of congruency or story by using similar instrumentation and by the way each song is recorded.  

Cristina Peck and Patrick Browning formed Dance on the Hourglass in Nashville, Tennessee in the fall of 2010 after playing a few shows together. Attracted to each other's affinity for playing gracious dreampop melodies, Cristina and Patrick took their mutual influences from 80's and 90's new wave, electronic and shoegaze bands--genres the Nashville scene tended to ignore. The musical chemistry was instantaneous. They casually jammed and wrote songs while playing small venues for a few years before deciding to work independently on their first self-titled EP. Recorded and produced entirely in Patrick's bedroom using vintage synths and drum machines, the EP evokes a sense of nostalgia for the feminine ethereal sounds of artists like Kate Bush, Cocteau Twins, Slowdive, and Portishead.
