Afghan Raiders - If Only

We  can break it:
These legs, so persistent, 
carry and convey us there.
doesn't matter to me where.
my heavy heart wants out of here.
these limbs, so consistent.
repetitious robot hands,
advance in spite of rusty gears,
scream and grind as stillness nears, 
but... 
	-we can break it over and over and over.

Towels in when realized visions  
weren't what I'd had in mind  
they have a mind of their own I guess 
always a 4 four to the floor 
fast paced, sex fueled, product of my natural man
I don't recall inviting him here
	each time I'm more convinced it's damned to hell
	the prophesy fulfills itself.

time is but a construct, limited in space.
available on a first come, expand, first leave. 
this is just a drain where increments with given names,
analogs applied describe a macrocosmonstrosity.
	-and a delightful one indeed. 

We say hour, minute, day. we say second, month, 
wax, and wane. mansions in asynchronous ballet. 
promotes to schedules, thanks. 
incremental units, like our children, give em names.
so they can grow and pass away 
as pets laugh at you with your 401k's.

I'm a puzzle piece that longs to find what I complete.
released into the world, assemble to a whole when we all meet. 
numbers logic, passion language, anger grace, nature faith, 
doors, mirrors, mass, weight,
form an octagonal megaton beast. 
	-and a delightful one indeed.  

In volume, action has words beat.
though observation knows the most, and therefore never speaks.  
informed, simple, happy, life in obscurity.
only needs good company. high stakes for a guy like me.

We Can Break It

This time I hear the sound I feel the rush
and I feel like I'm robbed of all the words to say
and now from far away I feel a push
and I feel so (hush)
and now I hear the footsteps down the hall
and I am sure their sentiment was jaded.

osmotically we gather from the boughs
a reservoir of current, we can drink the voltage down
designed the ebb and flow to store our wattage in the clouds
stopped in nimbus circuit blocks where lightning drains it

don't focus on the steps, or think about the ground,
just have strength and faith enough so we can shimmer like a mouse.
we will only be one tense, and feel our way by facing change.
so keep it under our hats, and keep this under the rose for now.

This time I aim to wager all the way
and I know the risk is never what it claims
and now the rules are all that we have
I aim to break them.

The Meditative Knows

This time a dream, I'm on a path with willow trees
and lonicera swaying in the wind. 
and from far away I feel the pull of waking 
and I cling to this, deceptive as it is. 
we wont let go. 

this time, another dream, I'm on the path and I'm thinking 
I would gladly trade my waking life for this. though it's not real 
I'll spend each moment of each day consumed by what that trade would take 
and does the devil make that kind of deal? 
we should have known.

and so I ask my self
what would Occam's razor do now?

This is something I made up
I'd reply "don't remind me"
This is the remainder of a ghost 
that's creeping up behind me
Following like a notion that I'd mind 
if only it had meaning
Visceral, and I'd conclude a dream
