Born 3 months premature, this child had no name... Just Boy. Born with a rare lung disease, his parents wanting to give him a strong name, they decided on John. John Boy was born. This NYC based artist blends rock/pop/electronic/dance to create his "dark pop" sound. Filled with raw emotion, sexual expression, sexy darks vocals, and edgy lyrics...he shines a blinding light on loneliness, comformity, fear and confusion. Called a "new recording star" by Next Magazine, John Boy's been compared to Nine Inch Nails, Robbie Williams, Incubus and been called the male version of Madonna, P!NK, and Lady Gaga. John Boy's first EP, "Space Junkie", a dance-heavy album with twisted humor but also depth, was produced by Shane Faber. It caught the ear of top NYC promoter Mark Nelson which led to a fully staged theatrical tour of the New York club scene at top venues including Limelight, Cheetah, Exit, Splash, Hush, Ohm and after-parties for Michael Jackson and Madonna (performing with Donna Delory & Niki Harris- Madonna's long time back-up singers). His debut Full length cd, "Choked Not Broken" was released in August 2005 after a year long promotional tour. Coming to music, well, I'm an amateur music composer...or I should say, pretty much a beginner...I have not learned music...I am not trained....
But I'm passionate about it...:)..I just happen to play the keyboard & happen to compose music on that :)....I have a Yamaha PSR-295....I record my music using Audacity, a piece of software I'm still trying to learn properly :)...

Unless mentioned otherwise, I write the lyrics for my numbers...I'm a Simbhu-like and T.Rajendar-like lyricist you can say :)...I write in spoken Tamil & have an affinity for rhyming words :)..as you can see in my blog...

I'm a HUGE fan of  Harris Jayaraj & Yuvan....You might find a lot of traces of inspiration of their composing style in my music :)...Don't be surprised :)...
