This week on the 22nd installment of our series, it’s time to introduce Co-founder of MOD82, SUKAKS.

Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, now based in South Korea, Thomas Ahn has been developing his passion for music since an early age. 
In 2020, when he moved to Korea, he felt the necessity to transmit to the local scene what he felt back in Argentina. Since then, he has been looking for his own style.

In early 2021, he decided to start MOD82 with the help of @kim_tae_yeon, a platform whose objective is to explore, transmit and connect talented emerging artists from all around the globe.

TECHTREE UNIT은 DJ와 그래픽, 사운드 아트와 비디오 아트 등 다양한 서브컬처 분야에서 활동하고 있는 아티스트들과 나뭇가지처럼 뻗어 나가는 테크트리 구조의 팀을 구성하고, 이들과 교류하고 협엽할 수 있는 네트워크를 구축하여 함께 실험적 활동을 지속할 수 있도록 만들어진 하나의 프로젝트다.

이번 SCR에서 선보이는 TECHTREE UNIT - INCEPTION은 테크트리 유닛의 비주얼 아티스트 ZEEZEE의 색이 담긴 그래픽 영상과 함께 Mugi, Sukaks, Zudiex, Kimtaeyeon의 디제이 믹스가 소개된다.

TECHTREE UNIT is a project made to continue experimental artworks, forming a team and building a network to interact and collaborate with a tech tree structure that stretches out like a tree branch with DJs and artists working in various subculture fields such as graphic, sound, video, and installation art.

TECHTREE UNIT - INCEPTION, presented at this SCR, will feature graphic artworks with color by the visual artist ZEEZEE of Techtree Unit, along with a DJ mix of Mugi, Sukaks, Zudiex, and Kimtaeyeon.

Sukaks: TECHTREE UNIT - INCEPTION

Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, now based in South Korea, Thomas Ahn(Sukaks) has been developing his passion for music since an early age. 
In 2020, when he arrives to Korea, he felt the necessity to transmit to the local scene, what he felt back in Argentina.
Since then, he has been looking for his own style.
Strongly attracted by powerful grooves, and Detroit techno, he aims to transmit hypnotic vibes combined with some raw sounds which can be heard on his sets.
