This set is a carefully curated selection of melodic techno and progressive house tracks, blending well-known, poppy tunes with deeper, more underground sounds. Some tracks feel raw, others are more organic. There’s a balance between accessible, familiar sounds and more avant-garde, experimental approaches. 

I chose these tracks before picking up the trumpet, focusing on a mix that naturally flows but also challenges me as a musician. Almost every track has a live trumpet layer, except for one—the remix of Moby’s “Go” by Victor Ruiz. That track stands strong on its own, but I still wanted it in here.

Over the past months, I shared fragments on Instagram while exploring melodies for these tracks. A recent gig in Enschede, where I improvised with DJs live on stage, inspired me to bring more classical influences into my playing. 

You’ll hear that in some tracks—tight, structured trumpet patterns that complement techno’s precision. Others are more fluid, drifting into ambient spaces, sometimes processed so heavily that the trumpet is barely recognizable. In one track, I play just a single long note during the break, gradually building effects until it dissolves into shifting pitches and textures.

This is the first time I’ve performed this set in full—it’s never been played live at clubs, festivals, or private events. A true premiere and a direction I’m excited to explore further.
