Eight years deep into their voyage through the outer margins of sound, Cosmic Wave Records reemerge from the ether with ‘In Echoes Of Fractured Light’, a brooding and luminescent EP from Paris-based sound-sculptor Anechoic...For the premiere, we dive into Marco Shuttle’s reimagining of ‘Offcuts’ - a vertiginous trance-techno elevation that stretches time into liquid. Shuttle peels back the skin of the original and reveals a stroboscopic skeleton: submerged bass pulses, neon-lit pads evaporating into the void and machine rhythms spun tight like quantum clockwork. It’s trance not as genre, but as state. Bells echo in distant gravity wells, flickering like lighthouses of a civilisation long submerged. Somewhere between a lost orbital rave and a ritual in the ruins of deep space, where collective euphoria and solitary drift are two sides of the same cosmic coin.

The 𝙰𝚛𝚝 𝙱𝚎𝚒 𝚃𝚘𝚗 team is very excited to present the selection from the 'Open Call' project we ran this year. Our initial intention was to feature 7 artists to celebrate our 7th anniversary, but after receiving 92 amazing tracks, we decided to release 15 of them!

Since its creation in 2018, Art Bei Ton has been holding space for many emerging talents to express their vision of trippy and hypnotic sounds.

Curating diverse international artists through our events, podcast series, and label releases, we always aim to discover new DJs and producers from around the globe.

Coming from a niche subgenre, the strength of our scene is its dedicated and supportive community. It is therefore important for us to open a listening channel to artists who share our passion and vision.

𝙼𝚘𝚛𝚎 𝚒𝚗𝚏𝚘 𝚊𝚋𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚊𝚛𝚝𝚒𝚜𝚝𝚜:

~ Echonull emerged from the signal haze of Chengdu, cut through Beijing’s noise, and now pulses in Berlin’s shadows. With roots in audio engineering and a mind steeped in sci-fi and Buddhist thought, she sculpts surreal sonic worlds, building emotional futures in broken timelines.

~ Fahmi Mursyid is a contemporary musician, composer, sound designer and producer based in Bandung, Indonesia.

~ E2NMN is a Belrin-based DJ and producer. She crafts immersive experiences through the deeper spectrum of techno, where atmospheric textures meet intricate rhythms and powerful synth work. 

~ nharo is the pseudonym and music project of Francesco, Italian synth devotee based in Lisbon for almost a decade. 

~ Originally from Portugal and now based in Lausanne, Prismal draws upon a long-standing connection to underground dancefloors, deep rhythmic exploration and mental introspection.

~ Forward Vectors is the collaboration of Nolan Byrd and Perrin Grace, two longtime forces in New York.

~ AJ_XO is a Brooklyn-based artist whose work explores emotional intensity, sonic texture, and the space between chaos and clarity.

~ K49 continually refines his sound, merging both old and new influences, between deep and groovy techno with polyrhythms vibes.

~ Goldmund.99 a playful artist that combines trippy and nostalgic sound into trancy techno and tribe.

~ Makhi is a Paris-based producer and DJ, finding balance and inspiration in nature—especially during long treks through the mountains.

~ Shaakra is a lifelong instrumentist and emerging french artist that makes music from the heart as a way to craft rituals drenched in mystic soundscapes and driving tribal drums.

~ KOSAA is a DJ, producer, live performer, and designer. Former resident of the Poznań-based Tresor and Automatik series.

~ mateo is a french DJ and producer, originally from Bastia and now based in Marseille. His musical journey began with the psychedelic sounds of free parties in Nantes region, where he co-founded the collective A’Sonor

~ Likeis is a project based in London, UK focused on exploring the nuances of innate rhythms, universal patterns, and sonic textures both organic and interdimensional

~TURISM, Naarm/Melbourne based emerging electronic music producer, has spent the last several years exploring the push-and-pull feel of halftime grooves, atypical drum programming, and brain-tingling sound design.

Fuelled by an endless fascination with sound in all its forms, OTON has spent over a decade navigating the vast spectrum of electronic music through producing, mixing, mastering, and DJing — with live performance at the heart of his explorations in all sorts of mental and hypnotic techno.In 2021, he launched Alliance Club, initially as a platform to share his own music with a growing audience. Today, the project has evolved into an independent collective, party series and imprint, known for its integrity and support of alternative artists and scenes. Alliance Club now holds residencies at some of Belgium’s most iconic institutions, including Botanique, Fuse, C12, and Listen Festival. After previously exploring sonic territories characterized by breakbeat rhythms, psychedelic textures, tribal drumming, and raw mental energy, OTON unveiled his critically acclaimed LP, New Forms of Silence, in March 2025. This landmark release marked a decisive and profound shift in his artistic direction, signaling a new chapter in his sonic evolution. This autumn, OTON is set to return with its highly anticipated sequel, New Forms of Silence 2. Bluegold steps into the world as a ground for trance-inducing rhythm and collective movement. Rooted in techno but never bound to it, the sound leans toward the psychedelic: loops, atmospheres, and ritual percussion that blur perception and guide the floor into altered states.

The A side comes from Mruda, written during a day of turmoil where conflict and chaos spilled directly into sound. Machines were left to chance, generating unstable pulses that mirror the volatility of the moment.

Archypness takes the B side as a counterweight, drawing the energy inward. His productions move with a meditative focus, weaving rich textures and layered rhythms into journeys that feel timeless yet deeply grounded.

We will celebrate the release outdoors with a custom-built sound system, light installations, and a lineup that embodies this vision — dissolving into sunrise and fog.

𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗘𝗥𝗘 | OTON - Resonation [ALC012]

​​It’s 3am, the club is full to its brim, both in energy and in bodies. The air is ripe with a palpable tension, there needs to be a spark to ignite the night remaining. Enter OTON, and a return to Alliance with his sequel to ‘New Forms of Silence’. 

Minimal is that match stick, instantaneously converting friction to heat, and laying the groundwork for what is to come. Akin to a drum machine workout, the tracks are devoid of fluff, and focus on the essentials. Winding melodies and a tight percussion line keep things moving while ramping the energy, higher and higher. We’d be remiss, in not mentioning the rest of the album though, OTON showcases his taste as ideas coalesce through a variety of other genres, all tastefully done. 

Brussels-based Alliance Club was first introduced to the scene about 5 years ago, as a platform for founder OTON's own releases. It has since gone through a natural evolution, welcoming releases from other artists, and ultimately morphing into a collective and party series within the vibrant Brussels community. With residencies at a variety of Belgium’s clubs and festivals as well as on local radio station microwave, Alliance has nicely established its place in the scene over the past few years. This year, OTON presents his music in the form of an audiovisual live set in collaboration with a visual artist Onohno, something to experience if the opportunity presents itself. 

New Forms of Silence 2, will be released on the 26th of September.
