VKVA003 has arrived, bringing a flurry of sinister and obviously rapid tracks to the table. In the third ‘various artist’ compilation from Voight-Kampff Records, we have decided to explore some new grounds unlike what has been seen on the label so far, by recruiting a whole roster of artists who will be making their debut on the label with this release. As usual we will be donating half of the proceeds to a local charity and have chosen Glasgow Womens Aid, who provide information, support and refuge to women, children and young people experiencing domestic abuse in the city. We hope that you enjoy the release, and thank you for the support thus far.

First appearance with House of (S)Punk, Argentinan DJ and producer Störung (she/her) releases with Dracko, a very authentic invitation to her identity and core values. Co-founder of Shadowland, a multidisciplinary horror-goth project, resident of Opposite Label, her visual, sonic and personal identity is the rehabilitation of darkness as a healthy integral part of oneself and the world. Society plays with the concepts of “good” and “bad”, “darkness” and “light” or “happiness” and “sadness” in a very restrictive morally judgemental binary vision of the world when Storung embraces that the world as a whole, its natural mechanisms to its man-made intellectual concepts, is the ever flowing balance of both. It seems of vital importance to her that we understand that both extremes of the spectrum exists within us and it’s a matter of acceptance and cohabitation rather than battling against the reality of human nature. You can even celebrate them through dance, and that’s where Dracko comes in.

ValaV / Dancing Memories EP / December 7th 2023 / Hard Groove Trance Techno

ValaV (he/they) is a Venezuelian producer and DJ who left to Spain via Ecuador to find a future and a chosen family, as well as follow their creative journey, becoming one of the city's queer scene's beloved DJ and party organizer as a co-founder and resident of Yo-Yo. Following a first track released on a previous compilation, it was time to give them the proper space to show what they have inside : a warm emotional mix of hard groove and trance techno full of uplifting fun-loving energy for those special moments spent sharing smiles on the dancefloor with your community. As they provide spaces for our community to feel seen and supported, it was only right to give them the space to be seen as an artist too, so we're excited to release their debut EP.
