A collaboration with esteemed Australia-based music collective and record label Synaesthetics, 'Semantics' is a compelling compilation representing a 100% Australian lineup of talented artists, all of whom share a vision for dynamic and progressive psychedelic techno. With a healthy mixture of label OGs and new faces alike, this release will no doubt satisfy fans of the deep and hypnotic side of the psytech aesthetic. We are thrilled to be working with this exciting group of scene-shakers and beat-makers, and look forward to working on more projects with them in future!

AXON - Instinct (Original Mix)

Oortek’s (Ex. DAS BOOT) focus lies on the exploration of progressive, dark minimal and driving techno, and its synthesis with ethereal melodic elements and alien, otherworldly sounding psychedelika. Driven by curiosity and a fascination with the unknown, she seeks to fully embrace the creative process and delivers intelligently crafted sets that draw the audience in. Through the transmission of enticing auditory landscapes interspersed with unorthodox twists and turns, her DJ sets serve as an antidote to the stale and ordinary.

Oortek grew up in the inner city environments of Western Germany, where her fascination with house and techno sounds first developed. After moving to Australia in 2013, she quickly discovered the underground music scene and refined her interest through continuous engagement with the community.  Oortek performed her DJ debut in July 2023, and has since played at a number of events held by Brisbane based organisers including Diffuszed Studios, Misheen Productions and Wizards of Kingston.

biography:
1ddual has started to making music if he was 12 years old.
At that time, Fabian aka 1ddual played until his 17th birthday in various
punk / metal / emocore bands, the e-guitar, e-bass and percussion.
The first releases were with the black metal band called Nema (1993).
Later he played in lesser-known deep core bands too and oriented
then more and more with the electronic music.
At 18, he started with djing ambient and psytrance musik at small parties.
Besides his own events he attended quite regularly parties in electronic dance
music scene. Nearly 10 years remained he is the psy / progressive-trance
scene faithfully and had more bookings as Dj at underground events.
In 1999 he started the production of his first own tracks with synthesizer and
computer (Atari+Cubase).
After a short break due to job (fashion photography), he began 2006 to study
on a university of Art in photography and new media (incl. sounddesign)
In this context, he and his girlfriend started with the audio-visual project: 2ddual.
2ddual audiovisual performence was focused of their own audio (deep-ambient)
and video material which were live composed. By the way was 2ddual very much
as busy as visual-performers in clubs and (film)festivals. This work was always
in direct contact to the music and has influenced the strong current productions.
after 3, 5 years of intensive audiovisual working lose one half of the project.
since this time works Fabian (the leading part of the project) alone in the field of
audio and video production, photography and graphics under the name 1ddual.
now his productions and dj-sets move mainly in the deep experimental minimal
to psychedelic minimal area.

From being awarded the position of Beatport's Top 3 label for 2020 (following revered Afterlife and Diynamic imprints), and 4th highest selling release of the year - along with a large portfolio of accomplishments and achievements since its inception - Recovery Collective has grown from a fledgling label to a global powerhouse.
