Rebellion is music for the early hours and Israeli Magit Cacoon brings five original tracks to the label, with her enchanting ‘Subterranean Fiction EP’.

Tel Aviv’s Magit Cacoon is both DJ and producer. Currently residing in Berlin, she has been producing music with fellow artist Oliver Deutschmann for over five years. After meeting Damian Lazarus on her home ground, he soon signed the EP and welcomed her to Rebellion. Japanese DJ, composer, producer and vocalist Hideyo Blackmoon features in the opening track ‘Journey to Venus’ and sets the tone for an ethereal and otherworldly EP. ‘Subterranean Fiction’ is a “voyage through a complex underground universe, where one has the opportunity to immerse himself omnisciently in the sounds and vibrations,” says Magit Cacoon of the material.

Celebrated for her ability to discover new talent, Magit became Berlin’s Sweat Lodge Radio resident and founder of the label Girl Scout in 2011. Her remix for the UK act Porcupine Tree and releases on Upon.You Records strengthened her position within the dance scene. Displaying how versatile she is, Magit is currently working on the official remix for infamous rock musician Steven Wilson.

Hot on the heels of the A-Sides Volume 5 compilation, Enrico Sangiuliano makes his return to Drumcode with his highly anticipated EP ‘Moon Rocks’. The heavy hitting four track EP shines a light on Sangiuliano’s tight, thundering production skills. The hoover heavy lead track ‘Moon Rocks’ is packed with booming percussion, intricate synths and brooding crescendos. The EP encapsulates Sangiuliano’s wide spectrum of sounds ranging from the fat bass line of ‘Moon Rocks’ to the more delicate harmonies shown within the ‘Dutch Kiss’ mixes whilst ‘Ghettoblaster’ sits somewhere in between.

Hello friends! Just a little freestyle minimix I did...I will start doing tech session mixes, consider this episode 1.  I'd like to point out that old is gold! Electronic music tends to have a short shelf life, but I don't think it should. Yes it's great to have new music and unreleased, but don't forget the gems. Some of these tracks are newer but some are a few years old, and have played them over the years,  but I did not discriminate! Just let it flowwwwww, good music to be played, true DJ session. You will also notice some tech remixes of some psy classics as well. I hope you enjoy!

Ark-E-Tech and Käse Kochen find a bond in exploring the far reaches of music production, coming together for their first collaboration EP. Merging their creativity they form a unique style of funkadelic prog-tech in FAUNA. Driven by playful energetic basslines and laden with horns, guitar, even a bit of harmonica, the original tracks are twisted into an earthy and elated energy. Inspiration for FAUNA derives from dusty dance floors and the artists’ native habitats of lush forests surrounding Byron Bay and the wildlands of Tasmania. FAUNA explores the wonderfully weird world of Australian native animals - wombats, frill neck lizards and electronic music producers.

The remixes further the strong represent of Australian techno that Bassic Records aims to guide. The robust basslines of Like Liquid and Rainbird thump through the bush while their cheeky structure and sampling forges their lively energy. Gabriel Moraes puts forth a deep emotive interpretation, skilfully progressing as a listener is left to feel calmly consumed by the night. Docosc is the final piece of the release, an open platter of psychedelic experimentalism, the thrill neck scampering through sand and sound.

‘Solaris’ is a melancholic listen in the form of a three track EP that brings in the light, dives in the dark and finally grounds you.

Davide Zeta’s Decay Records marks its third year in the game with a mix comp from California-born DJ and producer Pezzner, featuring exclusive tracks from some key underground figures such as Franck Roger, Alex Arnout and Neverdogs plus many more.

Seattle resident David Brian Pezzner has been a longstanding member of the underground house scene, earning his stripes as one half of the west Coast house duo Jacob London in the nineties. Pezzner has since established himself as a prolific solo artist, releasing his first album in 2010 on Tom Roberts and Jamie Odell’s revered Freerange Records, with subsequent albums dropping on the Dusseldorf based Systematic Recordings and M.A.N.D.Y’s Get Physical. Pezzner’s productions and versatile DJ sets have landed him regular gigs across the globe in some of the most renowned festivals and clubs including Seattle’s Decibel, Amsterdam’s Trouw and Paris’ Rex Club.

After a string of remixes on the London based Decay Records, Pezzner returns with an arsenal of exclusive tracks from the Decay artists vaults – and has carefully curated a 68 minute mix that glides from hypnotic soundscapes to organic yet-lofty percussive tracks with his signature dub-leaning vibes.

Opening the mix is the twisted soundscape within Floyd Lavine’s ‘Half Pint Frankie Jackson’, which Pezzner utilises to carefully throw the listener off balance, before subtly upping the ante with the deep and stripped back grooves of Label head Davide Zeta with Frank Storm. The mix continues to ebb and flow into further expanses, enlisting the help of Tijn’s crafty acid licks in ‘303 Tool’, Pezzner forever builds tension whilst flowing simultaneously through a range of mesmerising house and techno. The full dubbed out vibes of Martin Aquino and Ingrid Borderline then fuse together to close out the mix in a similar hypnotic form as it came in.

Three Years Of Decay Mixed By Pezzner drops 19th May on Decay.

After remixing Moonbootique-records such as Julian Wassermann's 'Funk Funk' or Township Rebellion's 'Pelikan', it's time to release an own massive EP on our label Moonbootique Records.

Matchy & Bott (Moonbootique, Katermukke) got together with FABS# (Tach & Nacht, Tächno) and vom Feisten (Ballroom, Criminal Bassline) to create a ridiculous three-track EP with heavy basslines.
