Recently rising from the dynamic underground electronic music scene of Naarm FDH brings us ‘The Alpinist’, inspired by the alpine regions around Jaitmatang and Ngarigo country in south-eastern Australia where he spent much of his youth. Drawing from multiple musical influences and his varied taste in sound, FDH’s soundscapes in this EP are as diverse and unique as the alpine landscapes they evoke.

‘The Alpinist’ emerges as a testament to FDH’s dedication to push boundaries and conjure new sonic worlds. With a visible attention to detail in production, FDH delicately weaves deep textures, driving rhythms, and contrasting elements, inviting listeners on an exhilarating auditory adventure.

TOMO is a DJ, producer, and label curator from Florence, known for his multifaceted artistic approach. As co-founder of the label and collective DE RIO, and with a background as a multi-instrumentalist and bandleader, he has been influential in the local underground scene since 2016. Releasing music across various labels since 2021, TOMO’s style transcends genres, blending fast-paced atmospheres, deep hypnotic techno, IDM, glitch minimalism, post-tribe, and organic textures.

The first comes from Pure Space label head and Eora artist Andy Garvey who flips Sap Speaker into a jittering 4x4 bass feuelled expedition.

Plus Naarm artist Zara casts meditative propulsive bass through the ethereal tones and natural sounds of Root Mender.

Both remixes complement their original predecessor, though naturally expanding the sonic realms that the EP stretches.
