Veryl East is a DJ based in Zurich, Switzerland. He plays fast but subtle trance, drawing inspiration from the contemporary Scandinavian scene and past Parisian nights alike. He is a prolific mixer and has previously recorded podcasts for HRA Berlin, Harmless Records (Dublin), AÜRA (Paris), Kapitel Bollwerk (Bern), Aura Trax (Seattle) and more. He also curates a mix series himself, together with a collective in Zurich.

About the mix:
“It seems that many of my favourite trance DJs have a habit of releasing ambient productions from time to time. This mix features some of them. The idea is to have all the emotional facets of trance but, for a change, without the usual percussion. The mix begins and ends with two different ambient reworks of the same 1996 trance classic – Olive’s ‘You’re not alone’.”

Being brought up on a remote oil rig and fed a diet based on unrefined gasoline, Sprite and hard hitting techno, Dr. Diesel collected first full body and mind altering  experiences around music from an early age on. However he only stepped behind the decks a couple of years ago when he managed to reach continental land. Traveling from gas station to gas station he restlessly experimented with different combustion methods, finally giving him access to premium V8 diesel power. Over time he acquired a distinctive taste and mixing skills that can set every engine in motion.
