We kick things off with the title track 'Abaangui' a peak time techno dance floor monster which features a blend of deep bass tones, driving drum programming, cleverly chopped samples and intricately laced chord progressions, building to a massive breakdown before rebuilding to an unrelenting crescendo of energetic drum beats, chord stabs and an ever-warped bassline. 'Abaangui' is a club monster that growls from the minute you push the play button. 

The accompanying track 'Jasy Jatere' is another pumping club affair utilizing a hypnotizing synth chord as the basis of the track, before all manner of varied melodies weave in and out of the stereo field to close out this wonderful 2 track release in style. American-born, London-based producer Stefan Rose makes his debut with Dear Deer and dives into the depths of indie dance and melodic techno with his powerful two-track EP “Abyss”. ELEVATE – a label started by one of the best loved techno duos of the moment Pig&Dan, focuses on releasing music to make the listener feel just that – ‘elevated’. Since its inception in 2012, its seen a stream of hits climb the Beatport charts, featuring artists including Amelie Lens, Monika Kruse, Christian Smith, Julian Jeweil and Matador among many others.

Its 75th release comes from none other than the label bosses themselves, marking Pig&Dan’s 7th solo EP on the label.

Kicking things off, the title track “Starting Again” has a slamming kick and crisp shaker shuffle that sets the pace. It's a driving cut designed for an intense dancefloor experience. The vocals and synth collaborate effortlessly, delivering a subtle but beautiful breakdown.

Deep in those morning hours “A.M.” brings a dark abyss like track with a haunting synth pattern coupled by a bellowing horn. Both dominate the soundscape as vocal echoes escape into the mix.

Modulating low end and funked out percussion stabs roll through “In My Mind”, the filtered vocal leaks delicately in and out of the darkness, whilst the hook emerges in satisfying ooze like form.

Fast pace, old school techno inspiration comes in the form of “Obsession” to close out the EP. It comes at you with bump and swing. It’s got simple but super catchy vocals, rolling between that rhythmic peak time groove.

Clash Lion boss Shall Ocin drops a trio of tracks to mark his debut on Truesoul.

In recent years the Argentinean-born, Barcelona-based artist has established a fine pedigree, releasing on quality labels such as Ellum, Hotflush and his own Clash Lion imprint. What makes Ocin’s productions distinct is his utilisation of modular synths, analogue rhythmboxes and custom-made effects, resulting in an organic and altogether explorative take on techno.

The title track ‘Isolate’ is a thick brew of blistering acid and analogue grooves ripe for the peak-time that shows of Ocin’s flair for rhythmically engrossing arrangements. ‘Believe’ is a deliciously disorientating exploration into the deep, as eerie effects and vocals dip in and out of the multi-dimensional cut. The beguiling ‘Archaea’ rounds things out on the melodic tip, with lashings of deep atmospheric layers and synth stabs throughout.
