S - Capade got into the sound of hardcore jungle in the early nineties. Based on his background as a drummer he supported many DJ sets and then soon after became a DJ himself. Starting out his new found vocation he played a number of pirate Radio stations in Europe and swiftly moved onto the underground club scene. Adding to the DnB industry further he started promoting events and soon after became part owner and resident DJ at the legendary Massive Tunes and Oxygen events in Aachen, Germany.

Originally from Derby and now based in Barcelona, Modal, a sound engineer by trade, channels decades of passion for the darker realms of drum and bass, drawing inspiration from the iconic Blue Note parties of the late '90s.

The EP begins with the title track, Scripture, which blends techstep and neurofunk influences. This dark, intense atmosphere continues with Trident, alongside Aymat.

Repertoire label head, Law, offers a fresh take on the 2023 track Lost Visions transforming it into a crushing reece and tramen-driven piece inspired by the No-U-Turn sound.

The EP concludes with Abandon All, a more introspective roller
that rounds out the collection.

11. Silence Groove - Ekwador

After five years of planning, writing, and refining their sound, London-based production duo Kolectiv are set to release their long-awaited debut drum & bass album, Circadian Rhythms.

The project began in the aftermath of the pandemic, when the pair started setting aside tracks that captured the spirit of a night out at a drum & bass event. Their vision was clear: to create an album that reflects the variety, energy, and progression of a rave – from the first beats that pull you into the closing sounds that carry you home.

“Going out to drum & bass nights, you’d hear so many different flavours across six or seven hours. We wanted the album to follow that same arc – like a circadian rhythm, a natural flow of time, but in this case the cycle of a rave,” Kolectiv explain.

To achieve this, the duo placed a strong emphasis on originality and sound design. Most of the album was built from scratch using their own recorded samples, crafted through sessions with keys, drums, and guitars, and only dipping into external sources when absolutely necessary. Vocal collaborations from PAV4N, Hijak MC, Illmatika and Kerry Donnelly add unique flavour to the project, while carefully placed interludes tie the project together as a complete listening experience.

“This isn’t just a collection of tracks. We wanted it to be a journey – a cradle-to-grave kind of experience – with highs, lows, and moments to breathe.”

The title Circadian Rhythms captures that intention perfectly: an audio diary of a night spent immersed in drum & bass culture, told through Kolectiv’s trademark blend of technical precision and emotional depth.

The project also coincided with a complete studio overhaul, giving Kolectiv a fresh environment to finalize and mix down the record with a renewed sense of clarity and focus.

With Circadian Rhythms, Kolectiv deliver more than an album – they present a story, an atmosphere, and a tribute to the music and culture that shaped them.

If you don’t know about the amazing producer/DJ that is Che Mac, then what are you doing just follow him already if you know what’s good for you!!!

He’s the co-owner of Bournemouth’s ill Groove Society and an all-around prolific beatmaker who’s been absolutely killing it recently.

The first time I came across his music was when he dropped his remix of Shirley Temper’s WTFAY — what a wicked release!

We’ve kept in touch ever since speaking about how much we’d love to collaborate on a release — and now the time is finally here!

From the start, we’ve always been obsessed with hip-hop-inspired rave fusion, and this track embodies everything we love about jungle.
