Avant-garde classical landscapes, left field electronics, bass productions and straight up Indie rock: the Anglo/German independent label Erased Tapes Records likes it multidimensional. Established by German-born Robert Raths in early 2007, the record company is currently managed by Raths and Sofia Ilyas in London. Over the years, Erased Tapes has become a melting pot for innovative and imaginative musicians including Ólafur Arnalds from Iceland, German composer Nils Frahm, Ukrainian music pioneer Lubomyr Melnyk, American multi-instrumentalist Peter Broderick, singer songwriter Douglas Dare, English film composer Michael Price and electronic artist Rival Consoles. For Carhartt WIP Radio Sofia Ilyas has produced a show that gains an insight into the labels musical approach, from classic to electronic and beyond!

This set is mostly created with sounds collected from all over the world, in order to add an ethnic feeling to my livesets. 
I did not take time to focus on details or shape the sound too much, so most tracks are yet unfinished and it has a very spontaneous vibe to me. 
Thus I rather consider the set as a "preview" of what might come out soon. Still decided to upload it though, to challenge my terrible lack of musical output;)

My dear friends

I am happy to share my live recordings of one of the most magical night of my career so far.
I was invited to play in Oaxaca, Mexico together with Acid Pauli during 'Day of the dead' on 31st of oct 2015.
We played in some kind of old spanish church in the middle of the night. Because it was ‘the day of the death’ everybody was dressed like skelletons. They painted me as my dog Rivaldo, that passed away 3 months ago.
You can imagine playing in Mexico in a temple, on the day of the dead, with Acid Pauli, in front of Skelletons, while I was painted like my Rivaldo (and Martin had some kind of Jezus outfit) was pretty magical.

So I am excited to share with you the live recordings of this night.
I want to thank Mariana, ALKEMY and gem&bolt party w/ guest mezcal Amores and Meteoro to set up this night.
And all the people who came to show: you really made that temple come alive again!!

Space Dimension Controller’s music is as obsessed with sci-fi themes as the man himself. His latest album—Orange Melamine on Ninja Tune—is another ode to hazy ambient sounds, cosmic energies and colourful soundscapes which proves that once more. It was written in a teenage Jack Hamill’s bedroom and is a thoroughly absorbing affair as indebted to Eno as it is to Boards of Canada. Before that he has released conceptual albums like Welcome to Mikrosektor-50 as well as plenty of other EPs on R&S and Clone Royal Oak, all with decidedly intergalactic bents. 

Over the course of three hours here, Hamill really stretches his legs and shows us many different sides. There are, as expected, cosmic and deep space overtones early on, but also a love of playful melodic house, disco jams and party starting anthems also shines through. This, then, is a shapeshifting selection that twists and turns and keeps you on your toes throughout.
