I haven't recorded a mix for a long while so I decided I would go down the rabbit hole of putting a mix together of all the classic tracks that take me right to the dance floor at a Frantic event. 

Its a mere 3 hours 45 minutes long which could have easily been double that as there are just so many tunes to consider!

I was delighted to make a welcome return to Leicester for the highly anticipated PaSSion Classics celebrating 30 Years of music. Hard to believe that it has been over 6 years since I last played for this iconic brand.

The whole event was fantastic. Quality lineups, a great venue, good crowd and thorough promotion. The loyal DFOPs (Dedicated Followers of PaSSion) were out in full force to kickstart the new year, captivated by some of the amazing Trance being channelled throughout the main arena in the 02 Academy.

The atmosphere during my hour-long set was incredible, with a sea of eager, smiling faces anticipating each new track. I seized this opportunity to showcase some timeless Trance anthems from artists like Energy 52, JX, and The Conductor & The Cowboy, igniting the dancefloor with the energy you can experience as well 🙂. Roll on 2025!

The Republic of Gatecrasher event held in June signified 10 years since the iconic venue in Sheffield known as the Republic and spiritual home to so many of the Gatecrasher faithful, tragically burnt to the ground.

10 years on and the music still plays on! We all grew with the music from 1997-2007 and felt obliged to hold a commemorative party so as to celebrate those many joyous memories experienced at this momentous institution. Gatecrasher has always been about inclusion and was not only a tribute to all our regulars but also to those who never have had the opportunity to experience it first-hand.

In order to make this event unique, I wanted to try something different and completely out of my comfort zone! After many lengthy discussions, I made the conscious decision to go back to back with the entire main room lineup. From early doors until the final tune, everybody who attended was guaranteed a nostalgic, musical journey.

Post-Republic of Gatecrasher blues and it was really pleasing to have received so many positive and thought provoking comments with regard to how musically diverse it actually was. I wholeheartedly agree and thought it necessary to share these wonderful sets. Just listening back, you'll be really hard pushed to find such a wide range/variety of Trance to encapsulate one night!!!

Many thanks go out to Paul Pearson, Guy Ornadel, Matt Hardwick, M.I.K.E. Push, Marco V, Matt Darey and DuMonde (JamX) who all contributed to this amazing event by joining me on this 9 hour adventure. Now you can too ;).

With Tall Trees finally succumbing  to the wrecking ball I wanted to create a mix that captured that time from 2003 - 2008 when Goodgreef, Tall Trees and Yarm seemed like it was the centre of the universe every single month. The people I met and the times I had will be with me for the rest of my life, If you were involved with it I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I realised that there were too many tunes to fit into a single mix so i've split them into two, Part 1 will be Trance & Techno and Part 2 will be Hard Trance, Hard House, Hard Dance and Hard Style.

Obviously there were hundreds of tunes that remind me of Tall Trees, I've tried to choose the ones that instantly take me back to being underneath that Goodgreef banner, on the dancefloor. If there is a tune that i've forgotten or brings back particular memories then please feel free to let me know.
