Joan Cortes aka Technimal a la edad de 20 años se ve atraido por los sonidos del Trance y el Progresivo así es como se inicia en la escena local. Después de unos años se ve mas atraido por los sonidos mas Underground del Minimal y el Techno influenciado por artistas como Piatto, Umek, Pig & Dan, Dandi & Ugo, Min & Mal, Punk Investigation, Alex D' Stefano, D-Nox & Beckers, Boris Brejcha entre otros. Años después decide estudiar Ableton Live convirtiendose así en Dj & Productor de Música Electrónica en generos como Minimal, Techno & Minimal-Techno. Uniendose a labels locales como DnB (Xochimilco) y Fusion Rec Vital (Coyoacan (Actual)) y firmando actualmente con los sellos Yatzil Records (Mexico), Dark Smile Records (Bulgaria), Yaakun Records (Puebla)
