🗯🗯 How did you prepare this mix and what was your main inspiration? 🗯🗯

My idea for the United We Stream Podcast was to record a house mix, because most of my recordings are techno and most of my bookings are for techno events. My love for house music is at least as big as my love for techno music, thats why i chose to do a house mix.

I decided to take the first hour of our OYE Records Night at Paloma Bar from 2nd October, because the mood and atmosphere was so wonderful and the energy was great.

🗯🗯 How do you make use of technology? 🗯🗯

To this day i haven't looked at the new technology CDJ´s are offering. You will always find me playing vinyl only sets as I prefer the warmth of analog sounds and the classic feel of turntables.

🗯🗯 How would you describe your style? 🗯🗯

I play a deep blend of techno, electro, Chicago & Detroit house with nuggets of acid, funk and breakbeats rolled in, I also love to play ambient sets. My record collection is pretty big and i like to play different genres, i don´t like to be fixed in one genre.

We decided to invite Sequent to our second Blu Saphir Studio Mix session. She became a stable member of the label with several EP`s releases alongside Skruff including her own tune entitled "Mindset".

Currently she is working mostly on her own productions but also on a new project with M:Pathy and studies also at the Overview Music Mentorship Program. 

You can expect some new music of her on Blu Saphir in the near future.

She takes also part of a viennese female dj collective named AMI|KAL with Aras, Jalen Mess and Sarah Allen.

After jumping back into the production seat in 2019 after a 13 year break from Drum n Bass, Australian based producer Jaise has been chipping away at carving his own niche in the current landscape, taking all of the elements he loves from the sound of classic techstep, early neurofunk and rufige style breaks to create his own unique take on the style, bringing his version of the sound into the 21st century. 


With releases on Metalheadz, Ohm Resistance, Icarus Audio, Subplate Recordings, Off License, P Lab Recordings and Rubricate Records, and with support from Skank & Bass, DistrictBass, DnB Portal, Data Transmission and DNBDojo, Jaise is quietly working away with other releases scheduled for 2022. 


With regular appearances on Bassdrive and DnBRadio and securing guest mixes for a number of premium Drum n Bass channels, Jaise’s mixing style is quickly gaining him new recognition in the scene for his smooth blending technique and considered selection.

April 16th sees the inaugural Scottish House & Disco Festival landing at SWG3 in Glasgow, we are going to be covering the festival heavily in the coming month talking to many of the artists appearing at the event.

First up is Irish collective @queenanddisco and we can't think of anyone better to start proceedings. We have been keeping an eye on these renowned party starters for a few years now as they continue to build a reputation for their high octane mix sessions be it from their live events or their lockdown streams during the height of Covid.

Inspired by the classic albums and mixes from DJ legend LTJ Bukem and more than a decade in the making, “Heavy Breathing” is Dieselboy’s full-length all liquid drum and bass magnum opus and a love letter to the form. This stunning 130 minute / 108 track mix was curated from thousands of tunes he has collected for this project since the early 2000s, and painstaking care and attention was given to weaving a tight tapestry of double and triple drops plus multiple layers of edits, loops and samples in order to bring this creation to life. Designed for use as both a subtle background soundtrack as well as loud sessions when good vibes are desired, “Heavy Breathing” will pull you on an inner journey through deep waves of soul, funk, disco, rhythm, blues and lush ambience. As always Dieselboy brings his trademark mixing style to bear in crafting a truly unique and scintillating long player that bears repeated listens to unlock all of its secrets.
