You might know me as the man behind the Brand New Drum & Bass playlist on Spotify, the writer for /r/dnb's New Music Mondays, occasional ID commenter, frequent stream watcher and travelling rave attender - but I also really love mixing! For me, there's nothing quite like that moment when you figure out how to combine two, or three if the mix allows it, of your favourites into one, entirely new experience. It shouldn't come as too much of a surprise then, that my mixing style draws heavily from the likes of Circadian, Junk Mail and, realistically, A.M.C, with more tunes per hour than is perhaps reasonable. While I love every subgenre, and keep exploring it all since I started in 2021, my personal favourite has got to be the heavy, sing-along madness that only Dancefloor-Neuro can offer. Now a staple on labels like Hospital, Souped Up, 31, and Biological Beats, Enta delivers download-on-sight tracks and remixes for artists like A.M.C., Benny L, Levela, and General Levy. His sets — packed with triple drops, live edits, and exclusive dubs — light up stages from Rampage to Beats 4 Love and beyond.

Auckland-based Drum and Bass artist DLTO is making a powerful return to onesevenfour with two new singles. Known for blending emotional depth with dancefloor intensity, DLTO continues to push the boundaries of sound design and rhythm. "All Night" & "I'll Take You Somewhere" are two explosive Drum and Bass tracks that bring raw energy and emotional depth to the dancefloor.

"All Night" is a euphoric journey through Dancefloor DnB, combining a contagious melody with a gritty jump-up edge. Darkly powerful chords introduce “Escape”, but Smooth quickly switches into uplifting mode, building towards euphoria with beautifully warm harmonies and the intriguing twist of that vocoder line. Guided by the authoritative presence of Coppa, we're delivered into a sultry, soulful roll-out, with little touches of vocal timbre keeping the heartfelt vibe alive. With an instrumental version included as part of the release too, this is perfect for bringing heat to the dance, even in the midst of winter.

And then he goes a few notches grittier with “Guess Who's Back”. The evolving chords that take us through the broodingly moody intro combine touches of both acid-synth and distorted guitar. All the signs point to the fact that this is going to drop hard, and Smooth delivers in spades. Stomping drums, the mid-range stabs counter-punching with organ-rupturing bass, and perfectly calculated builds and fills all combine to make this a savage dancefloor weapon. Essential.

So, in one release, we're seeing both sides of the coin. Smooth lives up to his name with the velvet comfort of “Escape”, and then, without warning, attacks with an iron fist in “Guess Who's Back”. Looks like it's going to be another big year for Smooth and for Technique Recordings.
