While the Berlin-based queen of positivity has garnered the support of the usual techno heavyweights, The Red Queen stands as a definitive statement of her production prowess. A driving low end, lush emotional pads, and some absolutely showstopping moments made this one of the releases we were most excited about but were forced to delay until live shows were possible again as this is most certainly a track that needs to be heard on a proper system to appreciate its visceral power. Respekt Reworks is a new remix series where we have asked a mixture of label regulars and newcomers to give us their take on some of the highlights from the Respekt back catalogue.

For Volume 1, we are extremely proud to present one of our producer heroes: Push, taking on Spektre's huge hit "Carnival of Souls". The track already blended elements of Techno and Trance, so Push was the perfect fit for the remix, and boy did he deliver! Taking gated vocal pads, and layering them with classic Push production touches for a fresh take on an old favourite.

The second remix comes from Ignacio Arfeli, with his twist on Gary Burrows' rave anthem "Burning", where he spins the vocal and breakbeat parts into a new structure entirely, with a blissed-out, euphoric organ riff taking centre stage.

With a two year hiatus since 2020's Love in the Age of Machines album, Pleasurekraft's highly-anticipated return is finally here with a diverse two track EP. The title track sees the return of Mammal Hands' saxophonist Jordan Smart to the fold on yet another Pleasurekraft record; lush, narrative, and euphoric, Umbilicis Universalis  is symbolic of Pleasurekraft's continued expansion beyond mere dancefloor driven music. And on the EP's opening track Ritual,,Pleasurekraft deliver another sub-genre defining slice of cosmic techno sure to appease the peak-time masses. The EP's sonic range is a preview of upcoming material that will be further expanded upon leading up to Pleasurekraft's next album scheduled for 2023.
