Picture this: You’re strolling through the park, when suddenly a man in uniform stands before you, holding a dog on a leash and a pistol on his head. “Obey, or we’ll shoot this dog!” Absurd, right? Yet, in a figurative sense, it’s exactly what governments like China, Russia, or even the USA do every day. China grabs your smartphone, and if you talk too loudly about “democracy,” woof – down go your social credit scores! Russia turns off the gas if you start cozying up to the opposition, and the USA? Well, they’ve got drones, no need for dogs – just a slight increase in your carbon footprint and bam. But don’t worry, the dog’s still alive. It’s all about control, not violence – at least not directly. As long as you stay quiet, follow the rules, and keep your head down, Fido’s staying right by your side. And if things do go wrong? Well, let’s just say, dogs don’t live forever. But hey, this is all fiction. Or is it? 😘
