A segment of my 3 hour set that was recorded live during the 2013 Ostgut Ton resident's night at Berghain.

Very excited to share this set, recorded live at the Colorfloor of Lofi during Coda on the final day of ADE 2024. The warm and smokey colorfloor set the tone. A mysterious and intimate atmosphere that I wanted to translate into this 3-hour journey.

I began with lighter, fast-paced rhythms, gradually adding layers of darker soundscapes and heavier kicks. As the set progressed, I switched to a more entrancing energy, building up to an atmosphere that felt both groovy and hypnotic. An ideal handover to Kia and Reptant, who followed after me.

Chris Blackhall and Chris Bookless are two DJs and producers hailing from the UK. They’ve been extremely tight-knit for a number of years: they DJ together as Blackhall & Bookless, and both run one of the country’s best house and techno parties, Jaunt. Since launching in Newcastle over a decade ago they’ve now got their own Jaunt Records imprint, the main place you’ll hear their taste for deep house and techno aside from watching them play together. We’ve got the chance to witness this first hand this summer, as they’re joining us in Serbia for Exit Festival and at our upcoming launch party on 26th May. This week they sent us an all-new mix ahead of the dates, describing the recording in their own words as “a soulful journey through different fields of techno. Our reflection of Room Two.”

Ballroom Records Radioshow #225

Here we are, it’s AlBird speaking!!!…Start of June 2019, summer finally seems to have started here in Berlin and I’ve got the honor to host another episode of our Ballroom Radio.

Some exciting things are happening for us here right now at Ballroom which we will inform you about very soon.

For myself there’s 3 remixes out there since this week. One is for Swiss homie Stylez for a track he did together with Sidewalker called “Angry Bacon” and it’s out now on BluFin.

Second one is for Underwood called “Astronef” and it’s out on Tanzgemeinschaft!

Third one is for Berlin based label Neuhain. Track is called “Damnatio Memoriae” and comes from Italian artist Davide Nigro.

More tracks to come from Tomy Wahl, Matchy, of course Kaiser Souzai, Markantonio, BOHO and Heerhosrt, 2pole and many more!

Guestmix in the second hour this time comes from our label-honcho Kaiser Souzai with the set he recorded last Friday night at SOHO Stage in Augsburg, Germany. Big ups to the guys from Dosenschall for making this one happen!
