The don of Siberian techno Roma Zuckerman made his debut double LP ‘Phenomenon of Provincial Mentality’ on Gost Zvuk with a much-anticipated showcase of his remarkably diverse language of sound, from quickfire DJ tools to off-kilter extrapolations with a full stylistic diversity in between.
Working through the archive, the label assembled a collection of hypnotic loops in the vein of early Robert Hood and click-and-cut experiments that recall the punk attitude of Berlin's Elektro Music Department, all the while with nods towards European minimal. The album opens with two subdued, speak-and-spell processed vocal jams before 'Text Regulator' brings things into overdrive with furious drum programming and wide-eyed glitch FX. Over to Side B things take a turn into something more melodic and relaxing, an almost BBC radiophonic workshop zone with synthetic underwater sounds bringing to mind Amadeo Tomassi's library soundtracks of the late 70s. Think of early sonic portrayals of deep space exploration or the ocean's vastness mixed with repetitive 909 stabs.

‘I Play Everyday’ strikes as one of the album's highlights, a prime example of Zuckerman’s fascination with creating loop-based grooves to get lost in. There’s a hint of Richard H. Kirk’s 90s IDM classic ‘Freezone’ in the timbre of the opening moments, but where Kirk goes into sample-heavy cross-cultural futurism, ‘I Play Everyday’ seems acutely concerned with subtle reductions. ‘Extra Work’ harnesses a kind of pounding warehouse gabber energy with what sounds like a collage of shortwave radio voices, whereas album closer ‘Companeros’ brings in snippets of traditional Spanish-style acoustic guitar, albeit layered in a concrete manner with bursts of electrical distortion. It makes for one of the LP’s most surprising moments, but all round ‘Phenomenon of Provincial Mentality’ shows an artist working with a vast variety of styles. WAJE MARTIN is one of those vinyl-loving DJs, his extensive collection does not stop growing. He's been a tireless researcher for more than 30 years. Always away from the established and loving, above all, the B-sides. He achieves his own identity in each of his sets.

His sessions become a cultural journey in which to enjoy his rich musical universe and his extensive background, all sprinkled with the elegance and technique that undoubtedly characterize him.

Active since '88. Influenced by sounds and rhythms of Synth Pop, Coldwave, Ebm, Electro and Industrial. In the 90's his influence came from styles such as Technotrance, Acid and Detroit sounds. He becomes co-founder of 'SOMA EXPERIMENTAL Club' where he develops the most avant-garde Techno sessions. Without a doubt, the style in which he focuses the most and by which he is identified is Electro. Projects like ROBOTIQUE and 8Z8 are the expression of his darker, scientific and futuristic side.

He enters the world of musical production with the project 'ANACRONISMO INDUSTRIAL', which leads him to publish on the Industrias Mekanicas label. He's made remixes for ESPLENDOR GEOMETRICO, ORLOCK 101 [Barro Records] and POUPEES ELECTRIQUES [Geometrik Records].

Another of his passions is Experimental, Avant Garde and Kosmiche music, which leads him to get involved in the 'ORBITA Listening Club', which offers more avant-garde proposals.

Among his stand out performances, we have his set for the 35th anniversary of ESPLENDOR GEOMETRICO, the BRAILLE SATELLITE Festival [Lithuania], URBAN SPREE [Germany], OMBRA FESTIVAL 21-22, and SINNERS DAY Festival [Belgium].

Whatdufaque?! Dutch artist Renée Van Trier is back on Swiss label CAF? for another record! Following her first album released in early 2020, she comes back with "HUMBLE," the soundtrack of her new eponymous show performed at De Pont Museum (NL) and Arsenic (CH).

"At birth you are a promise, but at the same time also the greatest possible risk." Inspired by children's dances on TikTok where happy facades coexist with exploitative backgrounds, Renée Van Trier creates a fantasy world that's anything but Disneyland. You're invited to experience its soundtrack, taking you through dark atmospheres, eerie voices, glitched techno, and uplifting climaxes. Over the course of the 11 tracks, Renée Van Trier morphs into a dolphin, a puppet, and many other different characters, maintaining a blurry border between amazement and creepiness. "Everyone wants the best for their children, but sometimes it doesn't end well."

X-Truder X23 and TR_LR with real name Leszek Romaniak is born and raised up in Poland. Now he’s living in the UK since 2006.

He’s always been into music, as long as its good music. As a teenager he liked Rap, Graffiti and Breakdance but the electronic music became his passion.

Once he listened to a Love Parade Compilation in 1999 he found out what Techno and Chris Liberator Acid Techno is and all the Hip Hop stuff was gone. In that very moment he said to himself: "I want to do this too!"
