ROLAY continues in daily life as Pascal Rooijackers. Pascal has been better known in the past under the name Pascal Rolay. Pascal has been active in the harder styles for more than 2 years. When Pascal started, it was quickly said what are you going to do here? This had to do with the fact that Pascal was born with only 1 hand. Most of the DJs he met didn't think Pascal was going to make it. His career really started after he was allowed to finish in 2003 in the purple area of the very first DefQon 1. In that year his biggest hit was released together with DJ Chaps & DJ Yves. This immediately became the number 1 vinyl sold in the harder styles of the Netherlands. In the years that followed, he made the decision to go all out for the jump music together with DJ Chaps. Pascal was no stranger to this and followed numerous performances in the Netherlands and the rest of Europe. Performances at major events and residencies of highly respected clubs followed. Pascal has been a resident of: Zino, Club-x, The-clubs.be & Thelivingrm. In June 2014 he released Necronomicon on Partyraiser Recordings together with Stampede and performed live with CSR. Hardcore was not the future for Pascal but has always been a love that never left. When Pascal was asked along with his buddy Deep Dimension who he still knows from his past in jump music, he was sold. Pascal ended up at De Loods a well-known name in Breda and the hard techno seen. There he met The Composer. It clicked immediately and ROLAY was born together with Deep Dimension and De Componist he started to make hard techno. This resulted in a special sound that is weird in shape but razor sharp. Pascal is ready for the future to ensure that no one will forget the sharpness of ROLAY!
