After a brilliant start to the release year 2025 for Amber Blue Recordings, another promising talent is celebrating his debut in the label group: David Ardila (US).

The Seattle-based Venezuelan DJ and producer has made a name for himself with his energetic sets and is now increasingly bringing his passion into the studio. With ‘Cuspide’, he´s only releasing his third single - but it has a lot to offer. The track combines catchy melodies with driving indie dance vibes and a hypnotic atmosphere, that will give you goosebumps on the dancefloor. Precisely produced, emotional and at the same time club-ready, David shows his flair for contemporary, innovative sound.

Pressure.

It’s easy for me to think it comes from the outside, as if an external force is weighing on my chest. Fear of something that might happen to me in the future—often without even knowing exactly what I’m afraid of. But the truth is, most of the time, the pressure comes from within me, projected onto the outside world. As if from some past self, not realizing that the feeling has little to do with present reality.

Under the right pressure, I can manifest things that I probably wouldn’t without it. But when it becomes too much, it can block me from actually doing the things I want. It’s a thin line, and navigating it can be difficult—I sometimes get caught up in it completely.

It’s asking me to set boundaries—not only towards others but, most importantly, for myself. And to do this, I first need to take ownership of it.

Try to see where it comes from, listen to it, relax into it, and use it to your advantage—as guidance in the right direction.

Better known as one half of the Dutch duo Amy Root, Den Haag-based producer Sjoerd Huissoon is carving a name for himself as a versatile creator, both in the studio and on stage. Having shaped the sonic identity of projects like hip-hop/soul act Dragonfruit—who performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival in 2022—and Dutch pop artist Huize Lucas, he now operates solo under the name Syird.
