We are excited to introduce you to Australia-based Bahraini DJ and producer, Tauren aka Shantaraam aka Nawaf Alalawi, who has been making waves in the Australian underground scene.

Tauren is a multi-genre being who helms from Bahrain which is known as a melting pot of ethnicities and cultures. This diversity is heavily reflected in his sound, an array of genres, a fusion of worldly sounds, psychedelic soundscapes, dub-laden grooves, melancholic techno, and heavy basslines. Not confined to one genre, constantly evolving with the trends, ever pursuing new ways to express the self.

For the last thirteen years, Tauren has been playing club and festival circuits in Melbourne and Australia under different aliases. The long foray into Melbourne’s electronic scene has seen Tauren contribute to events and behind the curtains assisting large-scale festivals across different states.

Tauren has played worldwide as well as Australia wide and New Zealand. His DJ sets are often stand-out sets laced with high-energy-driven antics, crowd-thumping tunes, and a raging stage presence.

Over Christmas 2014 I needed a break from recording
my album, searching online for a song I recalled from
my youth, I fell into a rabbit hole of thousands of
YouTube playlists and posts, rediscovering the songs
my friends and I would gather and listen to as
13 & 14 yr olds every Saturday in East Berlin on Radio DT64
(now Berlin's Radio Fritz).

I stumbled back to the future, collecting over 5000 songs
on YouTube, learning for the first time the artists behind
the songs we heard almost 25 years ago.

The forthcoming trilogy is the result of 18 month
of building edits from YouTube recordings and stitching
them together off-line. I could not include every song,
nor indeed even the entire tracks from this small period
until 1993, so this is my personal history of electronic
music arriving in Berlin.

This trilogy will not be sold, it was a labor of love,
born of nostalgia and made for sharing.

Rashed’s earlier influences in music started from jazz and blues and early rock records. It was bands like Pink Floyd and the Jimi Hendrix Experience which sparked an interest in experimenting more with sound design and sonic experimentation. For this week’s radio show, we are pleased to have Bahrain-based Australian-born DJ and producer, Elléot (@elleotmusic) record an exclusive Minimal/Deep Tech mix where he creates a constantly evolving storyline with his stripped-back dance floor driven grooves.

Elléot’s latest release, Circus EP, which includes remixes by Jesse Maas (@jessemaaas) and Diego Krause (@diegokrause) on the infamous @DoNotSleepIbiza records just hit the number one spot on Beatport’s release chart. His track "Fairground" has received early support from Rossi (@ross-mccormack-1-2) and Toman (@tomanmusic) who smashed it on the dancefloor earlier this month in Italy.


Elléot has had a string of releases on labels such as Nervous Records, Toolroom, iVAV, Underground Audio, Cr2 Records, Under No Illusion, New Violence and Haze Records. Elléot’s music has gained attention and support from artists such as wAFF, Enzo Siragusa, Loco Dice, Steve Lawler, Sasha, Richy Ahmed, and many more, whilst also having numerous BBC Radio 1 plays.

His upcoming release, La Noche EP with a remix by Andrew Azara (@andrew_azara_music) will be released on @SwerveDigitalUK on 31 July. 

Elléot is set to carve his way through the underground house scene with his stripped-back dancefloor driven grooves.

After having been kept in obscurity for years with his quality productions, Alex Giusti is known for his firmness in creating melancholic melodies and excellent rhythm in projects. There are no limits for the producer, composer, and DJ, over the years with his complete and dynamic mixes together with his latest Ep "We all are together", released on the Italian label "Ovunqve". 

He founded his first label Illogic Music in 2014, which includes his 52 releases played by renowned DJs, giving stability to the label.

In 2020 he founded his second label Transfusion which is based on a refined ambient sound and underground dub techno, which is gaining sound exposure.

Unseren heutigen Podcast präsentiert euch "Anna Schreit" direkt aus unserer Homebase Berlin. Aufgewachsen in einer musikalischen Familie, wurde Anna schon früh mit verschiedenen Musikgenres konfrontiert. Ihre Einflüsse stammen aus verschiedenen Stilen, darunter die Art-Rock-Band ihres Vaters. Während einer Reise nach Süddeutschland machten einige Freunde sie mit exotischen, neuen elektronischen Klängen bekannt, die ihr zeigten, wie vielfältig Techno sein kann und so ihren Stil prägten, der sich durch viele verschiedene Subgenres zieht. Nachdem sie dieser Musikrichtung verfallen war, begann sie mit dem Auflegen, um die Tracks, die sie im Laufe der Jahre gesammelt und aufgebaut hat, mit anderen zu teilen.

In unserem Interview erzählte Sie uns von ihrem Lebenstraum in ferne Länder zu reisen. Aktuell hat Sie jedoch noch mit ihrer Angst vor Spinnen zu kämpfen, die Ihre Reiselust etwas schmälert. Schon bald, wenn Sie ihr Erspartes zusammen hat, will sie jedoch allen Mut zusammennehmen und den kleinen Achtbeinern die Stirn bieten.
Ebenso setzt sich unser heutiger Gast mit großem Engagement für Tier und Umwelt ein. "Ich wünsche mir, die Menschen würden aufwachen und etwas an ihrem Konsumverhalten ändern und nach ihrer eigentlichen Zuneigung für Tiere handeln, die ja schon bei den meisten vorhanden ist. " Zugleich möchte Sie jedoch niemandem zu nahe treten oder gar angreifen.

Today's podcast is brought to you by "Anna Schreit" directly from our homebase Berlin.
Growing up in a musical family, Anna was exposed to various music genres from a very early age. Her influences stem from various styles including her fathers art rock band. Whilst on a trip to south Germany, some friends introduced her to exotic new electronic sounds which revealed how diverse techno can be, thus informing and characterizing her style of diving and resurfacing through many different sub genres. After falling for this direction in music, she started DJing to share the tracks she has collected and built up throughout the years to create experiences/journeys within her sets.

In our interview, she told us about her lifelong dream of traveling to distant countries. Currently, however, she is still struggling with her fear of spiders, which somewhat diminishes her desire to travel. Soon, when she has her savings together, she wants to gather all her courage and defy the little eight-legged creatures.
Likewise, our guest today is very committed to animals and the environment. "I wish people would wake up and change something in their consumer behavior and act according to their actual affection for animals, which is already present with most. " At the same time, however, she does not want to offend or even attack anyone.

Today, Amavii resides in Berlin, Germany where she is guesting clubs such as Golden Gate, Ritter Butzke, Fiese Remise, Anomalies, Void and Suicide Circus.
