Mathame refine their singular sound on ‘Skywalking’ and a collaboration with Tale Of Us, ‘Departure’.
Following 2018’s ‘Nothing Around Us’ single, Mathame show no sign of slowing down. Their Afterlife Recordings follow up is a dancefloor single of epic proportions, taking the duo further into a realm of their own. Tension hangs off the sliding chords and spacious arrangements. In the case of ‘Skywalking’ it reaches an uplifting, euphoric crescendo, in Tale Of Us’ intro edit of ‘Departure’ the theme goes darker and off-kilter. Bona fide anthems in the sets of Mathame and Tale Of Us.

With the fourth Realm Of Consciousness compilation, Tale Of Us shine a light on the artists whose work has shaped their sets in recent times.
There are contributions from Afterlife’s longtime regulars like Recondite, Adriatique, Mind Against, Woo York and Vaal. 
From those who have come through the label in more recent times: Ae:ther, Mathame, Agents Of Time, Innellea, Fideles and Kevin De Vries. And, as always with the compilation, there are new faces: Colyn, Blausch, ANNA, ARTBAT, Coeus, Lyke, Murat Uncuoglu, Lehar & Aldebaran and ENØS.
The sound encompasses everything Afterlife represents: introspective electronica, euphoric peak-time cuts and more subtle rollers. Twenty inspired interpretations of the sound Tale Of Us have developed.

Kas:st release the anthemic ‘Hold Me To The Light’ on Afterlife with a Tale Of Us remix.

The French duo Kas:st are behind the highly-anticipated vocal track that has been creating special moments in recent sets. The original is arranged to journey through downtempo, piano and vocoder sections as well as a powerful peak. Tale Of Us’ remix extends its climax into a true dancefloor epic. The vocal breakdown, subtle progressions and monumental sound design is the perfect complement to Kas:st’s own masterpiece.

On the record’s B-side, ‘The Hymn Of Fallen Dreams’ switches the title-track’s lyrics for a more understated, ghostly lead line whilst retaining its extended form. Closing track ‘Be Yourself’ is the most direct of the four with a groove and deep pulse primed for the peak-hours.

Stephan Jolk distils his musical universe into the transcendent sounds of ‘Analogy’.

Following Stephan’s highly-anticipated track ‘Doubts’, released by Afterlife on the recent ‘Unity’ compilation, comes an eight-track story like no other. The title track ‘Analogy’ is another long-awaited gem that has shone in the sets of Tale Of Us. It begins the ascent through a musical journey where distinct elements collide and emotive reactions fill the spaces behind. Each chapter shows Stephan to be a master of melody and cinematic sound design, whether in peak time mode (‘Esplora’) or with more subdued atmospheres (‘Enlighted’). ‘Analogy’ stands out as a bold statement of Stephan Jolk’s vision and what is to come.
