House of Spirits is the church of sound over which Tom Noble presides, raising the congregation to ecstatic heights from his pulpit of passion.

Noble’s initial attempts at making music began like most collectors-cum-producers, lifting samples from worn records and repurposing the dusty beats into efficient edits. Instead of lumbering in these limitations, Noble opted for a greater challenge by inviting musicians to transform his sketches into a widely – and wildly – dynamic live performance. The resulting studio celebration led to the euphoric Holding On / Keep Holding On 12” for Beats In Space Records.

“Holding On” glides on such a joyous, eventful groove that it’s impossible to confine the track to a specific time or place. Strings, seemingly lifted from a 70s Salsoul twelve, soar alongside a gospel choir preaching positivity for souls both lost and found. Buoyed by a bass lick fat with funk’s sin and guitars glittering in solid gold, “Holding On” embraces disco house authentically and timelessly.

On the flip, Aaron Coyes of Peaking Lights tucks the heavenly wonder of the original under a dub-worn blanket for an out-of-body dream beam. The power of Noble’s composition retains full form against the free-flowing disembodiment of the performers, melting into one amorphous, hustling and bustling entity held together at the whim of Coyes at the controls.

Each 12″ from Beats in Space Records features original artwork in considerate and serial form. Tom Noble adorns Holding On with the fluorescent sigil of a late night romance. The 12″ packaging constructed by Will Work For Good features a removable vinyl BIS logo cling.

House of Spirits’ Holding On / Keep Holding On (Peaking Lights Dub) 12” will be released on May 20, 2014 on Beats In Space as a limited edition 12” and digitally.

Deep In My Soul (Original Mix)

Following the great success of 'ANGEL' we are now ready with the next Noir single on Noir Music. 

'MY FAULT' features the emotional, soul drenched vocals and lyrics of Berlin based singer HRRSN, that heart wrenchingly reflect the deep regrets and inner conflicts of a failed relationship. The emotive vocals are fused with penetrating synths and heavy beats to create the perfect contrast against the vulnerability that's inherent in his words.

"This is probably my most clubby but also my rawest, emotional track to date. It's crafted and arranged with my experience from playing from small clubs to big festivals and tested accordingly, so I was 100% sure it worked perfectly" says Noir.

'MY FAULT' is a sneak peak into the forthcoming debut album that's set for a release in the spring of 2015. "Vermillion" is the lead single off the forthcoming album by Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons, Message From the Other Side. The album is said to be inspired by a career spent DJing across the globe and the famous sunrise parties the pioneering artist is known for. Channelling those sunrise sets and the globetrotting influence of Message From the Other Side, "Vermillion" will be released with a huge remix package, seeing reworks from some of the house scene's biggest names including Agoria, Jamie Jones and Deniz Kurtel.

In his remix, Agoria focuses heavily on the vocals, propping them up with a deep, minimal inclined, backbone. The track throbs and grows in waves throughout it's six and a half minute runtime and crescendos with soaring, bass heavy, synths. "I’m doing very few remixes at the moment, but when Damian sent me “Vermillion" just before christmas I immediately fell in love with the vocals," Agoria says. "I had no other choice but to cut my holiday short to make this remix.  We exchanged a few tracks and ideas in the past but the timing never fit.  I’m happy that we finally found the time to collaborate with each other.”

Way Out West’s Seasoned EDM veteran Jody Wisternoff continues to turn out top-drawer tunes as demonstrated by his debut efforts on Anjunadeep “Lassoo” and “No Longer Strangers”, and this double A-side sees him return in style.

“Vintage”, as the name suggests, has an almost retro feel about it with its long, drawn out 80s-influenced synthesiser lines and intermittent electric guitar riffs. Building in a suspenseful interlude built around those same synthesiser lines, “Vintage” can be slid into the early part of a set or used to break things up in the middle with equal aplomb.

Turn over and you have “Shivver”, a deep, moody and complex number with delicate melodic sprinklings reminiscent of Hawk’s seminal prog house masterpiece “Need For Cognition”. Add in some evocative string sequences, brief dashes of organic percussion and a grinding, pumping bassline that tries at every opportunity to break away off its leash, and you’ll find this to be a very intricately structured box of musical tricks.
