Dear friends, we are proud to present you the 19th DHM podcast. This time, we meet up with Walter Tagliaferri from Zurich, Switzerland.

For Walter, music is Love and Peace. Regardless of what he listens to, it makes him being filled up with joy and emotions. With nostalgia and longing. With memories and hopes. That is what music is made for. Music is connecting people wherever they are. 

A few years ago, at the tender age of 50, he started making electronic music sets. For the love of electronic music. If music helps to inspire people and put them in a happy state for a moment, then that's exactly what his music sets would do.

The Amygdala is a central structure of the limbic system. It evaluates sensory inputs for emotional significance and potential threats, triggering neural pathways that generate emotional responses and embed as lasting memories.

Simultaneously, it initiates physical responses such as heartbeat, breathing, goosebumps, and the release of dopamine and serotonin. Within musical experience, the amygdala allows us to sense the emotional undertones of others intuitively, even before the mind can interpret them. This process is known as affective empathy.
