For our first ever episode in the Dreamcast series we welcome Oneiros Records label boss, DJ ONEIROS. Originally from Ireland and now based in Toronto, Canada, DJ ONEIROS draws inspiration from the diverse and dynamic music scenes of both countries, infusing his sets with a unique blend of Celtic mysticism and modern techno energy. With a sound that is at once dark and atmospheric, groovy and hypnotic, DJ ONEIROS is establishing himself as an up and coming artist in the electronic music scene. His sets are characterized by a relentless energy and an unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible with techno, taking listeners on a journey through the depths of the human psyche and beyond.

Here are a few words from DJ ONEIROS on his mix, "super excited to be doing the very first mix in the Dreamcast series. I had a lot of fun recording this one. It is a bit of a journey from dark and hypnotic to fast and groovy. Hope to have people bopping their heads throughout the mix and by the end, have them on their feet dancing. It also features one unreleased track from myself. Make sure to check it out."

We then asked him about what people can expect for the Dreamcast series going forward and what he is excited most about, "through the Dreamcast series we hope to showcase talented DJs from around the world. We will aim to have different styles from across the techno genre. Then I am pretty excited about everything that is happening with Oneiros Records at the moment. We have a few releases being finalized and will hopefully have some fresh new music out soon. Make sure to follow our socials for updates."

@mazuumusic, Brazilian roots but now hailing in Canada, Mazuu brings a mixture of dark melodies with hard-hitting bass, clever lyrics, and a hint of psychedelic undertones through her sets, taking you on a storytelling journey.

Introduced to the electronic music scene through Psytrance back in Brazil, another chapter began in 2017 when Mazuu found out about House and Techno at an after-hours club in Vancouver. Since then, she couldn’t stop chasing the underground, which has led her to a musical ride that she was not expecting.

Her journey started as a promoter in the city, getting to know the community and gaining an understanding of how things work behind the scenes. This included helping with hospitality and setting up events, constantly immersed whether that was by greeting you at the door or pouring her heart out on the dance floor. Not until the end of 2019 did she decide to jump behind the decks and express herself through music. Shortly after, Mazuu moved to Twitch where an extraordinary community was born, making many connections across the world as well as doing stream collaborations with well-known labels in the Techno scene such as Octopus recordings. For about 3 years now, she has been using Twitch as a tool to keep growing as a DJ and a way to stay connected with her community.

Her energy, music library, and stage presence on live streams got her discovered by local collectives, allowing Mazuu to showcase her style more across Canada and establish a name for herself in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal. She has played at well-known after-hours clubs such as Stereo, Gorg-O-Mish, and The Comfort Zone.
