A fan favourite remix from Group Therapy 450, Oliver Smith takes on gardenstate’s ‘By Your Side’.

Oliver was Above & Beyond’s first signing to Anjunabeats. Since then, he’s been one of the label’s most consistent contributors, appearing on every one of A&B’s “Volume” compilations to date. One of three new Oliver Smith productions debuted by A&B at their Group Therapy 450 celebrations, his remix of ‘By Your Side’ is another masterclass in modern, progressive trance. 

gardenstate’s debut album ‘Inspirations’ was released on Anjunabeats in October 2021, following a string of well-received singles and a raved-up take on Above & Beyond and Zoë Johnston’s ‘No One On Earth’.

They recently joined Above & Beyond in London for their Group Therapy 450 celebrations, and supported A&B on the Anjunafamily Reunion Tour across the U.S.A. 

gardenstate have also been active in the livestreaming realm, spinning music from ‘Inspirations’ and more from Fagradalsfjall Volcano, Iceland.

This release was created from the fusion of our ideas, concepts and experiences.
After several publishing successes with Planet Rhythm and Naked Lunch we want to release our music on other great labels which have a big impact on the techno scene and influence future trends in electronic music.
We both feel the Codex is definitely one of such grate labels and we are grateful to be part of it.

The inspiration and emotions associated with the tracks have already been made by daily life and the situation with the music industry and all adversities for us as artists.

"Hyperion" has a strong hypnotic rhythm and a powerful driving groove. It is speaks of overcoming obstacles: ups and downs like in a roller coaster ride.

"Kronos" is rawer and more hypnotic. We decided to build this track based on daily vortex hypnosis. The deep groove is highlighted by arpeggio riffs, atmospheres and drones.
The release definitely draws the listener into a whirlwind of emotions and thoughts.

On 'Hexenmeister', the third release on Berlin's high-octane Outworld imprint, head warlock Klangkuenstler conjures the witches for a ball around their bubbling cauldron, adding yet another new facet to his raw signature soundscape.
With it's relentlessly powerful kick and acidic riff, title track 'Hexenmeister' is pure, peak-focused body music, while it's twisted witchcraft vocal and brooding synth-line add positively deranged magic to its meaty pulse. 'Die Sonne Bebt' then whips the floor into oblivion by way of its killer drum programming and grinding rave signals, before 'Strom der Welt' lifts-off with the perfect bounce of rhythm 'til we're drawn back into a maelstrom of powerful electrical currents.
