Released on 22nd August, TEUTON’s ‘Make It Blow’ EP delivers an ominous trio of Hard Techno and Psytrance-laced dancefloor weapons.

Following an impressive first offering on ARTCORE earlier in the year with ‘Lose Control’ as  part of the label’s ‘Miami 2024’ VA, the cryptic silhouette of TEUTON returns to Indira Paganotto’s exponentially rising imprint with a solo three-track monster titled ‘Make It Blow’. Backing up an impressive catalogue of self-releases sitting either side of his ARTCORE debut, it’s no wonder TEUTON is back on one of the industry’s fastest-growing platforms, bringing a worthy sacrifice to the altar across a trifecta of blistering main-room stompers. 

The title cut ‘Make It Blow’ comes in rough and ready with a rip-roaring barrage of psy-infused flavours driven by rave synth shots, pulsating bass notes and a catchy vocal hook, carving out an enthralling signal of intent for what’s to come across the rest of the EP. 

‘Bonkers’ is next to appear, delivering an onslaught of even more racy and euphoric elements. It combines pumping grooves and dreamy melodic pads, offering dynamic contrast to its gritty, rippling lead and bassline combo, all brought together by another fast-paced, hooking vocal component. 

‘Bass In Your Face’ brings the EP to an impressive close with a knockout finish. Weighty and assertive from the first drum kick, it fuses an array of sinister harmonic facets and another catchy vocal hook with an industrial-sized groove pool of thumping kicks, corroded hats and rolling low-end percussion to round off the release in a potent fashion.

03 TEUTON - Bass In Your Face (Extended Mix) [ARTCORE Records]

Renowned techno DJ and producer Nicole Moudaber sets the stage ablaze with her latest dual release, ‘Reverie’ and ‘Forest Fire’. ‘Reverie’ plunges deep into the heart of techno, weaving together pulsating groove elements with alluring acid peaks. This track boosts big room sounds that create an expansive sonic landscape, perfect for festival stages and club nights alike. The powerful tempo and bass shaking rhythms in ‘Reverie’ enchant listeners, pulling them into a trance-like state that only Nicole Moudaber can masterfully produce. Following that comes ‘Forest Fire’, with its soothing vocals and psytrance elements. This track is a perfect blend of captivating melodies and a relentless groove designed to ignite summer clubs all over. A driving force in the techno scene, Spanish producer and DJ Ramiro Lopez has shaped a sound that encompasses techno, acid, urban and even Flamenco, as seen on this standout new release to make his debut on ARTCORE. Accompanied by tracks from an exciting producer from the UK called Tobias Paul, the alias of established house producer Curbi with his take on groove laden techno – the brand new 4 track release will be out on the 17th July. 

Ramiro Lopez makes a welcome to the ARTCORE stable bringing with him esteemed Flamenco guitarist, Miguel Clemente and Andalusian vocalist, Belén Vega. “I had the idea to create a fusion of styles, bringing authentic flamenco vibes into the world of electronic music” adds Ramiro. Both Miguel and Belén are deeply rooted and respected within flamenco tradition, creating something for the open minded and experimental.

Commencing with ‘Ay Candela’, the EP’s opener brilliantly matches the vivid intensity of flamenco with the brooding energy of techno. Whilst pounding, pacy and fierce in parts, Lopez and Paul have made certain the vibrant Latin influences of the tracks Spanish collaborators shine blissfully through the beat’s otherwise heavy, brooding ambience. 

Two tracks on the release are from Tobias Paul, the techno alias of esteemed house producer Curbi. Carving out a groove laden techno sound, this will mark his 3rd release to date, opening with ‘Brazil’, he quickly gets to work delivering a high-octane but obscure concoction of fizzing, whistling effects aside rolls of simmering snare. A chopped vocal bounces in-between thick bass tones and warping synth climaxing with a plume of whooshing melodics and final frenzy of lyrics.

The stringed brilliance of Miguel Clemente and soaring vocals of Belén Vega again take centre stage on ‘Solea’. Following a series of bell chimes comes a deep, galloping percussion and snare combo before a chorus of impassioned vocal lines ring out emotively across slamming cymbals, grumbling melodies and restless, fidgeting hi-hats. 

‘Poseidon’ is an ice-cold solo effort. Doubling down on the visceral potency that fuels much of ARTCORE DUO V, the beat possesses a diligently crafted groove that swirls aside militant drum rolls, pulping rave motifs and hollow tones to close the EP in a shadowy, low-key style.
