Up first is D's very own spin on his ambient, analogue stunner - 'Continental Drift'; which, via his 'Ode To All The Cosmic Disco Pixies' - re-emerges in a far more club-oriented plain, whilst still retaining that signature, wide-eyed charm.

Palats lures you in with its grandiose synth theme over popping percussion before all bassline mayhem breaks loose – Crypt is a soft whisper of a house anthem, full of beautiful Babaesque melodies that finally disintegrate into heavenly static.

For one of such royal heritage he lived a life far from the realms of luxury one might expect him to be accustomed to. The hole in the king's sock grew wider and wider each day as he trudged wearily through the forest, he cared not for gold and palaces but for the sweet essence of nature and the outdoors. Many had criticised his role within such mighty authority whilst others admired his humble reluctance towards the spotlight. For they cared not for the crown, the politics and it's reign but sought sweet freedom from its perilous clutches. 

Flexi Cuts are set to release their second EP in the form of a five track split. They invite a number of new found friends on to the label for the very first time.

Rhythm Section sub-label International Black,  has just unleashed their third EP, again with 19 year old jazz student Mallard, and also with another young producer known as LT. Collectively, they are known as J.Deep. We were first introduced to Mallard via his debut RS INTL EP, ‘Verte’, a deep and often lo-fi excursion into house music’s more chilled out realms. He returns with a track aimed more squarely at the dance floor, and it packs a punch, with the arrangement and musicality highlighting Mallard’s musical training at Trinity College.

“Common Era” is a long journey. Clocking in at just over ten minutes, it feels like an aqueous transmission from a lost underwater colony. Never dull, the track progresses nicely as subdued synths and arpeggiated bells flutter over a simple, but effective, groove and bassline. A track like this benefits from its length, and a talented producer like Mallard knows how to effectively pull the listener in various directions using subtle changes to the percussive and instrumental sequences that allow for one to feel lost in, rather than fatigued by the track. Songs like this are perfect for headphone listening, but also quietly effective on an after-hours dance floor. We could certainly see this going over well during a sunrise, the calm before a storm of more uptempo early-morning beats.

Mallard is certainly one to watch, and with Bradley Zero’s guidance and support, we’re expecting big things from the young jazzman.

Technodub Seance was founded in 2011 by two producers krisz deak and ZOL with the purpose of exploring the possibilities of dubtechno. In the beginning TDS operated as an undeground movement for a handful of dubtech fans, with contemporary vinyl DJs and live act producers of Budapest - to open new gates for the timeless sound of dub and techno. The aim was not only to propagate a peripheral genre, but collect and support local producers and to keep alive the value of electronic live acts.
