Hoy queremos presentarles a la siguiente artista invitada para participar de nuestra serie de podcasts, que nos envía su mix desde Valencia, España.

DJ colombiana, de Bogotá D.C, ciudad marcada mundialmente por su tendencia underground donde nació desde muy pequeña su amor por los sonidos oscuros, específicamente el rock, el punk y la electrónica underground, siendo altamente influenciada por el darkwave, postpunk y electro. Es tatuadora y amante del bodyart.

Siempre ha sido una apasionada de la música electrónica como el Techno, más específicamente el Hardtechno Old School/Schranz, Hardgroove, electro, EBM, Hardtrance y el dark/Industrial techno. Se ha radicado en Valencia para mostrar más de su sonido y conectar con otros ritmos innovadores alrededor del mundo, apostando siempre a su carácter multifacético. Se caracteriza por ser artista versátil, que le apuesta a su autodescubrimiento diario y sonoro, sin dejar de lado sus sonidos rítmicos, hipnóticos, industriales y oscuros que tanto la caracterizan, entrelazándolos con nuevas apuestas musicales. 

Con su experiencia acumulada, nació su curiosidad personal y artística por la mezcla del techno/hardgroove, junto a matices del sonido schranz experimentando y generando un sonido creativo, auditivo y de profundidad rítmica. Esto caracteriza a su propio sonido experimental al abarcar distintos subgéneros del techno, apostando siempre a su creatividad como artista.

Sus sets pueden partir desde solo una mezcla limpia de un subgénero del techno o sets donde muestra su fusión de subgéneros de este. Ha compartido cabina junto a Kristina Burgeois, Mriya, Joanna Coelho, Yuny, Keith Barrera, Orion (Sunny K/Nestor Guzmán), Solanke, GEA, Ciktriz, entre otros…

Today we want to introduce the next guest artist participating in our podcast series, who sends us her mix from Valencia, Spain.

A Colombian DJ from Bogotá D.C., a city globally marked by its underground scene, where her love for dark sounds was born from a young age, specifically rock, punk, and underground electronic music, being highly influenced by darkwave, post-punk, and electro. She is also a tattoo artist and a lover of body art.

She has always been passionate about electronic music, especially Techno, with a focus on Old School Hardtechno/Schranz, Hardgroove, electro, EBM, Hardtrance, and dark/Industrial techno. She has settled in Valencia to showcase more of her sound and connect with innovative rhythms from around the world, always embracing her multifaceted character. She is characterized as a versatile artist, committed to her daily and sonic self-discovery, while not neglecting her rhythmic, hypnotic, industrial, and dark sounds that define her, intertwining them with new musical ventures.

With all her gained experience, her personal and artistic curiosity grew for mixing techno/hardgroove, alongside shades of the schranz sound, experimenting and generating a creative, auditory, and rhythmically deep sound. This characterizes her own experimental sound, encompassing different subgenres of techno while always betting on her creativity as an artist.

Her sets can range from a clean mix of a single techno subgenre to sets where she showcases her fusion of these subgenres. She has shared the booth with Kristina Burgeois, Mriya, Joanna Coelho, Yuny, Keith Barrera, Orion (Sunny K/Nestor Guzmán), Solanke, GEA, Ciktriz, among others...

French born artist Felicie joins the Soma ranks with an outstanding debut release with the Daddy Issues EP. With tracks appearing on compilations and VA’s, Felicie’s first full solo outing shows why this upcoming and coming DJ/producer is a force to be reckoned with. One of the new breed of French Techno exports, Felicie’s sound is forged in the harder edges of Techno with elements of Rave and Industrial cut in for good measure. 

Title track Daddy Issues is a straight forward, no nonsense dance floor burner. Short and cutting vocals cuts give an air of defiance as thundering drums drive hard. UK Techno don Cleric’s interpretation of Daddy Issues delivers on more groove and functionality whilst still retaining the hard hitting qualities of the original. Camgirlz keeps up the pressure with EBM & Rave influences prevalent throughout the track's main hook. First Date In The Dark Room is a decisive closer to this EP and leans on slightly more deeper, melodic elements but still has Felicie’s drive and aggressive stance.
