Man sollte ja meinen, nachdem wir bereits im letzten Jahr Erfahrungen mit einem musikalischen Adventskalender gesammelt haben, wäre dieses Mal das gleiche Vorhaben mit etwas mehr Routine zu bewerkstelligen. Aber und zum Glück: Davon konnte keine Rede sein.

Zum einen ist es sowieso schier unmöglich, wenn es um Musik geht, überhaupt von Routine zu reden. Dafür ist sie ein viel zu wichtiger und aufregender Teil des Lebens, des Miteinanders Feierns und des Träumens. 
Zum anderen wuchs unser Team im vergangenen Jahr auf fünf Mitglieder an und dementsprechend herausfordernd war der Wunsch, möglichst alle mit ihren Favoriten zu berücksichtigen. Um ein bisschen aus dem Nähkästchen zu plaudern: Das ist nicht völlig gerecht möglich gewesen, aber hier zeigt sich dann der wahre Teamgeist, dass für alle am Ende nur zählt, ein wirklich tolles und ganz besonderes Set mit zu gestalten.
Herausgekommen ist eine Zusammenstellung, die sowohl ruhige, träumerische und melancholische als auch clubbige, treibende und nach vorne gehende Tracks beinhaltet. Nachdem im letzten Jahr unser lieber Freund und Kollege Tobi aka http://soundcloud.com/959er die Herausforderung des Weihnachtssets annahm, stellte sich dieses Mal http://soundcloud.com/torbenhildebrandt an die Decks – ebenfalls seit fast einem Jahr Mitglied des Frueher-Teams.

Besonders erwähnenswert ist für uns die Tatsache, dass wir auch zwei Tracks verwenden konnten, die erst in einigen Wochen released werden. Bis dahin sind die Tracks unseres Freundes http://soundcloud.com/jacobgroening, in einem Fall von http://soundcloud.com/mira_bar25 und http://soundcloud.com/shuffle geremixed, exklusiv nur in diesem Set zu hören.

Music is colorful, diverse and vibrant as the butterflies. Almost 180,000 different species live in 127 families. The music by Boris Brejcha is like a "Feuerfalter" (copper). On one side the butterfly is relaxing and floating on the wind, but on the other hand he also sets with steam and fire to a fall into a low altitude. This is how it feels when Brejcha makes music.

The fourth album is exactly the description of this "Feuerfalter", a kind of backflash into the impressive career of Boris Brejcha. An album that deliberately shows how the artist works versatile. Times slightly floating, sometimes wild hitting the wing, always full of passion. The influences of his travelings and performances characterize his art again.

This creates a music that may be accompanied on Brejchas audience the whole day: at home, in a relaxed atmosphere or just at night, when the trip through the clubs starts. mono no aware (もののあわれ) is the first compilation to be released on PAN, collating unreleased ambient tracks from both new and existing PAN artists.

Featuring Jeff Witscher, Helm, TCF, Yves Tumor, M.E.S.H., Pan Daijing, HVAD, Kareem Lotfy, ADR, Mya Gomez, Sky H1, James K, Oli XL, Bill Kouligas, Flora Yin-Wong, Malibu, and AYYA, the compilation moves through more traditional notions of what is called ’ambient’, to incorporating wider variations that fall under the term.

“Mono no aware”, ‘the pathos of things’, also translates as “an empathy toward things", or "a sensitivity to ephemera”. A term for the awareness of impermanence, or the transience of things. A meditation on mortality and life's transience, ephemerality heightens the appreciation of beauty and sensitivity to their passing. In investigating the passing of time, the boundaries between memory and hallucination become blurred; between fiction and reality. The movement of time transforms into an eternal present.

The album is mastered and cut by Rashad Becker at D&M, featuring photography by Molly Matalon and design by Bill Kouligas. A limited version of 100 copies will be released as a special art edition in collaboration with Mount Analog for the LA Art Book Fair 2017, before going on general release.

After the release of his first album 'Room With View', Joris Delacroix pursues its collaboration with Woh Lab. He participates in the artistic management of the structure today and gives a deep-house accent in the last releases. This eighteenth release is the perfect example. On 'La Mat ' Joris demonstrates one more time its talent to build subtile and sophisticated melodies, a track which tempts to dance arms in the air on a beach by looking at the sunrise of the sun on the sea. And remixes are of the same level with a version from the German duet Aka Aka to be played peak time, and a second one very deep realized by a another expert in melodies, Swiss David Keno.
