The love for music started just before puberty set in.
There he got inspired by rock music.
AC/DC was the first band he really listened to.
This was also his first concert ever.
Shortly after Guns n Roses, Metallica, U2, Smashing Pumpkins and Red Hot Chili Peppers 
was all he listened to.
A bit later the music got more intense.
He started listening to bands like 
Rage Against the Machine, Sepultura, Machine Head, Pantera, Korn and Limp Bizkit.

In his early 20's he took a more mellow path music wise.
60's music got his interest.
Jimi Hendrix, Creedence Clearwater Revival, BB King, Bob Dylan, The Doors and his biggest hero's where and still are The Rolling Stones and Dire Straits/ Mark Knopfler.
Then... May 10th 2003.
Roy lives right next to Arnhem football stadium 'Gelredome' where a certain DJ 'Tiësto' performed.
His mates all went and asked him along.
He was so impressed with the show, the scene, the fans and his interest in dance music was born right there.
Shortly after he stared to buy Tiësto albums.
In Search of Sunrise 4 was the first dance album he bought and the interest in this music genre kept getting bigger and bigger.

The following years a friend told him:
'You will never appreciate the skills of a DJ if you never DJ'ed yourself, because then you will truly know how hard it is and what it is all about'.

With those words in mind he bought a 2nd hand set of turntables and a mixer and i got started.
It took some time before it all went smooth and after a few months he really felt comfortable.
Ever since then he played trance music exclusively
but after hearing Dan Southward's radioshow 'Deep Senses Radio' early 2010 his interest in 
progressive house and deep house was there.
This made quite some changes in his style but this made Roy more complete as a DJ.
Later on he let other styles like tech-house and even techno slip between his sets just to keep things interesting.

Early 2013 Roy's friend Dan Southward picked up on my progressive house sets.
He heard how i improved my sound 
and he asked him to join forces and host his monthly show together.
The name of the show is Deep Senses Radio.
This was a great succes and Roy has been a part of the show ever since.
The style of the show is Deep House, Progressive House, Tech-house, Minimal and Techno.
January 2016 Dan decided to leave Deep Senses Radio and went solo with his own radioshow.
Ever since the format of the show is a mix by Roy Malloy in the first hour and a guestmix by a different DJ in the second hour.

Roy's broad taste in music is very noticeable in his sets and he is never afraid
of trying out new things or just do his own thing.
The only words that come to mind when describing Roy's sound is divers or different.

In 2015 Dan Southward and Roy Malloy started out their own record label called D&R Digital.

Pas-Risky was born in Izmir Turkey.
His passion for music started from a very young age, as he was always surrounded by friends who were connected to electronick music like Snap and ADAMSKI Feat, SEAL . His first pasons was going to the shop and get to the friest cassette was true bluue album from madonna == ohh yeazh ;-  At the age of 17, he began to play in a Piano
At the age of 34 he got to know electronic music and his connection with this musical genre grew rapidly. From there he was always linked to the electronic music environment, working very closely with large production companies in USA and UK, until he made the decision to stand at a mixing desk. His style and his musical identity are very characteristic, achieving sounds that seek that each person who listens to his sets can connect with themselves.
His sessions go from the Organic House to the Progressive House and also electro; It is characterized by achieving a very great energy on each dance floor and incredible passes.
He has every 2 weeks 60-minute podcast called SOUND OF PAS-RISKY, where the best music from national and international music producers achieves excellent sessions.

VLKN is a dj based in Istanbul. His real name is Volkan.
As he averages adolescence, he fanatically discovers electronic sounds. After listening, dancing and vibrating with the beats of electronic music, he decided to insert himself fully into the universe of the trays back in 2003. For some years now VLKN has used vinyl as the preferred format for his presentations. He believes, that it is the most noble and beautiful format to be able to transmit what flows from within when making a set. MINI-INTERVIEW

What was your most significant club / festival moment?
"One of the most impressive and outstanding moments was on the Sonne Mond & Sterne Festival, where I got invited for a DJ Contest. My playtime was at 6 in the morning and the booth was located directly at the beach of the lake. The morning sun rose above the lake and around 1.000 people danced in front of me and startet screaming by one of my tracks. This was an absolute goosebump moment."

Who inspired you the most on your path as an artist?
"There are many artists who inspired me over the years, startet by Jan Hammer through whom I was "infected" with electronic music. But also Kerry Chandler, Dave Clarke, or Gorge - founder and owner of 8Bit Recordings, have influenced my musical path. But if you are asking about one special artist, I would name Kastis Torrau as his sounds and productions had impressed and influenced my a lot in the last past years."

What do you do to get into a creative state?
"Well, I would rather say that creativity is always inside me, sometimes it just hides and need to be a little bit tickled to come out. This could be a track to which I listen, a good coffee or a co-working session with a friend in the studio, or sometimes just the smile of my wife. There is no explicit way to get into that state."

“This mix is a live recording of my set at the 2021 opening party at Warung Beach Club a few weeks ago. I played at this venue a few times before, but this time was super special for me, because the party was the first event there since it was shut down because of the pandemic. In my mix I actually played a lot of unreleased tracks, so have a listen, remember them and maybe you’ll see one or the other track to be released over the next couple of months. Enjoy!”

A proven fixture in the Australian scene over the past decade, John Baptiste has evolved with the local cultures, influencing his direction as equally as his own self exploration. Baptiste has emerged, from an avid member of Melbourne’s Suckmusic, to a family artist of Recovery Collective, with releases also finding their place on Open Records, Bassic Records, Ugenius Music.

Voyaging throughout the many nationwide gatherings, John Baptiste has taken his lively performances to Subsonic Music Festival, Strawberry Fields, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Bohemian Beatfreaks, Elements, Chi Wow Wah Town, Esoteric, Babylon and Mushroom Valley.

His open and collaborative nature has forged striking partnerships, producing regularly with Samwise, Amuze and Liam Seiker, various vocalists and as his duo alias Khatapillah. Passion and devotion to music drives the John Baptiste journey, with a constant burn to grow and thrive.
