Wir präsentieren: Barabass 💫 
Er verquirlt diverse Genres der elektronischen Musik zu einem Potpourri an ekstatischer Entschleunigung. Slow aber zornig, mit ner ordentlichen Portion Verspultheit! Stets melodisch wohl temperiert serviert er: „Trallafitti im Faultiermodus und Acid im Schneckentempo.“
Neben einigen Auftritten in Hamburger Clubs wie Yoko, Fabrique und Prinzenbar, durfte Barabass auch schon Clubs außerhalb der Hansestadt mit seinem Sound begeistern. So spielte er schon auf dem Klangtherapie Festival, dem Bachblyten Festival, im Kesselhaus in Augsburg, der Nachtigall in Köln und in der Bagatelle in Zürich.

2019 beginnt er, mit einem kleinen @fetepetete Kollektiv, eigene Clubveranstaltungen und Open Airs in Hamburg zu veranstalten. Dort finden verschiedenste Künstler:innen der gedrosselten Extase einen Platz für ihre verspulten Gedanken.

Sakuma is raised in Niigata, with a huge interest in music, especially metal and experimental, and emerged as a DJ in 2010.
He moved to Tokyo in 2015 to pursue his music carrier and started his party ‘Modest’ two years later, in which he has invited artists such as Valentino Mora.
Other than Modest, he has played alongside with DJ NOBU, Rrose, Marco Shuttle and more artists at clubs or festivals like rural and Re:birth.
Not only as a techno DJ, but also as a house DJ, he has experienced to be resident of Oath, a quality club in Tokyo focused on house music.

Currently based in Vancouver, BC, Adam 2 (@adamtwo) is a DJ, producer, organizer, and perhaps above all, a devotee of the dancefloor. They are the kind of person who's likely to have a meet-cute story with a surprising number of your friends from everywhere in the world (we met over a popsicle in the front row of No Way Back once upon a time). They bring the same spirit of community and giving they bring to the dancefloor to their engagement with the music community, most recently through their label @pprzrecords with DJ Hockey and their Afrofuturism is NOW mix series.

"So for mixes usually, I’ll find a few songs which have a common narrative/story. Then with that narrative in mind, I'll think about what the start and the end of the story sound like and do I have songs which I can use for the start and the end. I’ll usually then split the mix into 2-3 parts (3 parts for a recorded mix, 2 parts for a live performance) and each part will have the same shared theme but different energy levels.

For this one, I had a few electro tracks which weren’t really based on phrases, but were long and evolving, so I could mix them as textures kinda like how I would mix techno. There is a mix of electro/bass/techno throughout, however I purposely tried to avoid songs with 4x4 kick patterns.

In terms of a narrative I envisioned a soundtrack to a science fiction movie, recounting a story of a journey gone wrong, and elements known (science) vs. elements unknown (religion/ritual). It is always interesting to reflect on when a mix was recorded and how it reflects that period of time; for me it reflects a period of Winter, an ongoing pandemic and a bleak view of the future. I wouldn’t be able to record the same mix now because I am in such a different place emotionally and musically compared to a few months ago.

It was honestly so fascinating while writing the interview for this mix series to realize I’d come full circle and I was playing electro again but in a new way, after discovering it years ago and leaving it behind after getting so tired of it."

Proof of his production skills can be seen on his remarkable remix CV, working with the biggest names in techno (Surgeon, Regis, Mike Parker, Reeko…), and most recently artists such Funk D´void and Percy X from Soma records, etc. Wünsch’s hardwork has earned him a position on the line ups of the best clubs and festivals all over the world. With an impeccable career, this international artist has made a name for himself with dark and abstract atmospheric sounds, becoming one of the producers, whose name has appeared all over the world on the labels and charts of other great artists. Christian was one of the founders of Polegroup, and he was also one half of the ´Spherical Coordinates´ with Oscar Mulero. His labels Tsunami Records and Nine are indispensable parts of any respectable record collection.

As a key figure in its development, Oscar has always absorbed new trends and kept his finger on the pulse of electronic dance music, from the end of the 80’s right up to the present day. It's impossible to understand his genius without taking into account the tireless work he has carried out behind the decks for over two decades. Production-wise he's been releasing records since the late nineties, with countless 12" vinyls and several studio albums, as well as many remixes for the best players in the scene. He runs his very own Warm Up imprint since 2000 and the Polegroup Records label since 2004.

Tensal is one of the leading figures on the techno music scene. He is the representative of Pole Group. Together with Kessell he creates one of the most interesting duos - Exium, and also Selección Natural quartet with Reeko and Oscar Mulero (oficial). Besides of the releases on his label and the mentioned Pole Group, Tensala's music can be heard due to Soma and Modularz to name a few. The artist is distinguished by the consistent style and the sound which is characteristic of the Spanish techno scene - galloping kick with dense atmosphere.
