Technokunst - a Budapest-based collective of like-minded artists - is continuing its series of podcasts, showcasing some of the best talent of the multifaceted genre we call Techno.

We are presenting our first podcast anno 2022 - a live recording of our long time friend Volster's near 2 hours of unapologetic, dancefloor-burning set from his appearance at A38, Budapest in the summer of 2022. We hope you enjoy the trip.

A surefire provider in Amsterdam’s well-furnished techno community, Hitam has been making a name for himself with some choice platters for the likes of SYXT, Hayes and Room Trax over the last couple of years. Championing a sound as ebulliently driving as it invites us to dip our toes into further hazy sonic grounds, the Dutch producer swings the pendulum betwixt racing 909-fuelled horsepower and more subdued, fearsome climates. As ever clinical in his approach and deadly in his execution, Hitam has us tripping out to a hefty-handed two hours of relentless tech rage and hypnotic sound design laced into one smouldering hodgepodge of whelming, non-stop gusty sonics. ASEC is a Berlin-based artist and label project specializing in raw, hypnotic, movement-oriented electronic music. Though his roots trace back to Manchester's underground scene, he has masterfully redefined the interplay between building sonic tension and atmospheric release. His high-intensity tracks create irresistible momentum on the dance floor—a bold fusion of musical vision, tradition and innovation.

Central to ASEC's distinct identity is his modular live set—a storytelling journey that showcases his expansive musical vision. Through a blend of dark textures and idiosyncratic melodies, ASEC offers a live performance that goes beyond the conventional, as demonstrated in his Boiler Room debut last year.

A music technology innovator, ASEC has been instrumental in advancing the landscape of electronic music production, particularly through his leading contributions to Ableton Live. Far from a mere technical endeavor, this work has allowed him to push electronic music production and live performance into uncharted territories, manifesting a skill set and sound palette unparalleled in the techno landscape.

ASEC's recent releases include a full-length EP on Counterchange Recordings titled 'Trauma Bond,' and a vinyl debut on Ellen Allien’s BPitch. His discography also features exclusive releases on his own label, the most recent of which includes remixes from Kaiser (KEY Vinyl) and Inland (Ostgut Ton). ASEC's tracks have also been featured on household name labels such as Planet X and MORD.
