Let yourself be carried away by the dark, industrial techno of the 27-year old Berliner Japau. His track record was consolidated relatively early on when he accidentally ended up at a dark party at Berlin's “Arena Club” in 2013.
Since then, techno has been an integral part of his life and he can't imagine life without it. Late he started then in July 2019 with his best friend Alex (Odar) DJ'ing, their first Controller was a Pioneer DDJ-400.
Since then the story started for Japau, he was directly infected.
Japau's style is characterized by driving, pushing basses and hard kicks in industrial sound. You can expect an audiophile listening pleasure in the dB limit range!

JAPAU has found his way into our playlist in early 2021 by leaving a cheeky comment on a WNDRLST set. Since then, he has dominated our playlist, and his mad sets have given structure to our long workdays. He was the first artist we heard that managed 150 bpm or more without sounding like a lunatic at the peak of his amphetamine binge. His label PA•RA•DO•XON 030, was one of the first we reached out to, and we are thrilled that he has agreed to contribute to our project. He will be part of the first event in a series that we have planned. We would also like to thank him for always being there for us when we have technical questions, treating us with kindness, and embracing our madness. The seventh release on the Berlin based record label INHERIT is coming up - again the co-founders Disguised arranged a selection of their tracks and created a striking EP which is complemented by a remix of the talented producer Ferdinger.

Ferdinger, the labelhead of Life In Patterns is known for his dynamic sound and released more than once on the well known label ARTS. His interpretation of the title track „Ace Up The Sleeve“ is a perfect fit for IHT007. Recurring elements of the originals and his own additions created a remix that evokes an indescribable vibe.

Ten more days until our next release is out everywhere - ACE UP THE SLEEVE by Disguised with a remix by Ferdinger!

This release introduces the groovy side of the label and shows with full energy how techno can inspire to dance. Besides driving drums, pumping kicks and an irresistible flow, Disguised shows what it means to create a great mood with recurring synths and a perfect track structure. The tracks are not only created for the clubs of this world, but fit on every festival and open airs to round off the sets perfectly. Up this week on our FWP Series is TOLAX, the  co-founder & owner of Fremd Kollektiv.

Across the deserts of Tunisia, to Germany his love for sound knows no bounds. His unique ear for sounds was carefully developed during the long hours spent working in a local music store. He is now known to explore a wide array of styles. By the end of the 2000’S after organizing some successful open air and secret parties, he began experimental mixing with select electronic music tracks.

Building a strong foundation from his previous industry experience, he  has since developed a solid career as a DJ & producer improving his technical skills across a variety of with equipment. TOLAX is still deeply involved in the alternative scene of Tunisia & Germany primarily as a DJ, but also a host, stage tech, sound, and light festivals and raves working alongside the likes of Richie Hawtin.

Inspired by artists such as Dax J , Paula Temple, P.E.A.R.L, and Perc; he took steps towards carving his own unique blend of dark, hard techno from the heart of the techno scene in Germany and has since appeared in the notorious HÖR bathroom.
