Belgian producer, DJ, and visual artist Emma Dowdy, aka DJ Würm and Gaspard Emma Hers, shares their mix with us this week. Leaning into elements of trance, techno, psytrance, tek and the hidden corners of electronic music, Emma merges these moods for one multicoloured trip. As a visual artist, Emma has designed many evocative artworks for their own releases on Bandcamp, adding another alluring layer to their work. A recent EP on Prague-based label BCAA and V/A contributions on MUSA, Vile Immerse, and STRIKTDANCE. comprise their back catalogue.

A differenza di Vivite sto sogno questa è uscita in poche settimane di dopo lavoro, spontanea come sempre e con pochi tecnicismi da audiofilo, registrata , un colpo di eq e resa pubblica.

Rappresentando quel profumo, quella vibrazione che mi massaggiava all'interno della mia amata Yaris, quel capannone che si contorceva. Io con lui, quella macchina, il mio rifugio, altrettanto. 

Uscivo fuori da quel guscio di lamiera e non capivo se non ne potevo più o non potevo farne piu a meno, andavo a bermi un succo. Sapevo bene dove andare a cercare i miei , non potevo sbagliarmi, un saluto e si ripartiva con una bella treccia, un'altra bevanda ed era di nuovo sera.

Looming Dread (Techno Edit Concept) - Resident Evil 2

In times of #Corona people have to keep touching each other without really physically touching each other, by staying #connected in their hearts and minds. This is possible and necessary in order to strengthen the cohesion within the population and to show #solidarity among each other. Through small gestures of attention, helpfulness, encouragement, contact, encouraging words and especially #sharing #music, we can help each other to overcome this unprecedented state of emergency and to remain an #inclusive and #supportive #community.

Our goal is to create a new #opportunity for #DJs from all over the world to share their music without borders and stay #connected #digitally. Moreover the artists will share their personal opinion about the #quarantine situation, explain how it affects them and how they try to deal with it.

Even if it is no longer possible for us to be together physically for an indefinite period of time and to live out our joy and love for music in #clubs and at #festivals, we can still #participate in each other’s lives through an online connection and stand this through together. Although states have #locked their #borders to each other, we shouldn’t create borders in our heads. Now is the time to get rid of all the borders in our minds and tear down the walls in our hearts - we’re in this #together.
