@falsewitness aka Marco Gomez got their start in electronic music immediately upon a move from Boston, MA to New York City in 2014. Their formative years here were spent embracing the emerging Brooklyn approach to queer nightlife, Techno, and contemporary art. 

It wasn't long before their music caught on, leading to appearances at Frieze London, MoMA PS1's Warm Up, and a DJ residency with infamous club night GHE20G0TH1K. He would continue to hone his sound inside other major New York techno destinations like Bossa Nova Civic Club, The Spectrum, and Unter. 
By 2019, Gomez took off to Berlin, diving directly into various sections of the city's queer scene. Their production and performance sound has been deeply influenced by the move, incorporating elements from Synthwave, Italo, and EBM into their sonic palette. 

Today, they are an official resident at Renate Berlin, hosting their own queer event "Back Alley Sally's" alongside fellow resident S.Ruston and Berlin nightlife darling Nellee Dii. They are also a close associate with E-Missions Recordings, a New York City based label helmed by P.Leone.

In the brief chats I’ve been lucky enough to have with Amir, it struck me immediately that his personality has informed and maintains detectability in his blends. Calmly precise prioritising hypnotic moments over club bangers. The beats drive the tracklist to create a warm glowing yearning to dance-on-the-spot upon listening effect.

His mixing style is self-revitalising, and surges from beneath, illuminating muscular frameworks accompanied with a real ability to draw on a wide armoury of charming gold-standard of techno. Injections of grooves are subtly undulating beneath timed melodies, which then gravitate towards a well concocted meditative pulse. 

We cant wait to see what is yet to unfold from the promising disc jockey.

Spreading their time across London and Berlin, @cinthiciza is naturally a familiar face in both cities, and their sound is rapidly reaching similar levels of prominence. 

Looped vocals, minimalist percussions and Goa inspired synths created ÇINTH, the project of DJ and fashion practitioner; Dillon Grace - aiming for to hold the listener in a relentless, sensual state of trance throughout their sets and design work. Strong reception amongst the trance underground including Crude Berlin and Madrid based Collective Eigenblau has given ÇINTH the platform to experiment with melodic textures and unexpected, reactive turns throughout their sets.

ÇINTH created this week’s DETECT with a signature high BPM approach to more hypnotic dub techno and psytrance tracks. Beginning darker before progressively twisting to more melodic tracks with energised synths towards the second half.

The filthy diva of the dance floor is back and she’s not here to whisper sweet nothings. Melleefresh crashes into the techno scene with XXX, a gloriously sleazy anthem produced by Callum Magnum. This is Melleefresh in her purest form: wild, camp, and deliciously unhinged. Her vocal performance is a debauched incantation - “triple X, hot sex” - teased and distorted like a spell that summons sweat, lust, and absolute chaos. Magnum’s production fuels the frenzy with a thunderous peak-time beat, acidic jolts, and a trance-tinged lead that pushes the track into wicked, late-night delirium.

And because one dose of filth is never enough, a trio of remixes twist XXX into new dimensions of depravity. Magnum himself doubles down on the madness, reimagining the track as a rave apocalypse with pummelling drums, growling leads, and pure sonic mayhem. NikolaswithK brings the acid overdose, riding the 303 on a wild warehouse stormer that will leave the crowd gasping for air. Then Audi Étoffe launches the whole package into outer space, spinning XXX into a sleek, futuristic psy-techno trip that’s equal parts alien invasion and queer fever dream.

Dirty, loud, and absolutely unapologetic, XXX is a reminder that Melleefresh was, is, and forever will be the queen of sleaze. She’s back to reclaim her throne, and the crown has never fit so sinfully well.
