OW6 Harald Uunk - Unseen 

Harald Uunk’s debut album, Unseen, is an immersive, contemplative trip through the forest. The 18 tracks are designed to build on each other, starting close in and gradually expanding to poke at the different corners of your mind. There are heady, overcast and menacing moments offset with pupil-dilating, sweeping, atmospheric levity. 

And just like the transient nature of our thoughts and moods, there are ephemeral qualities to each track. Varied tempos, warm basslines, fluttering glitches, undulating percussion and moments of crystalline equilibrium lean into elements of dub, minimal and introspective techno. 

Five years in the making, Unseen puts all of Uunk out to the world. The Dutch DJ/Producer has crafted the record off the back of his experiences in nature and his immediate surroundings. The output is a reflection of the energies around him and the result is a spatiotemporal play. Where some tracks sway and stretch from side to side, others are packed tightly on the spot or drive forward through the trees with the full power of a calvary.

How can the unfamiliar feel so close? Dookuzot, the debut EP by Floid and W92 (aka Woody92), invites listeners to venture into the echo chambers of the psyche on their Omen Wapta imprint. Like a salvaged coat of arms, this 8-track release weaves the cryptic motifs of the blood brothers into its sonic fabric, blending unease with ease through stealthy rhythms and dissonant harmonies. One a sonic visionary, the other a sound artist—together, they transform decades of shared family history into an imaginary realm of the mind.

Pensive yet commanding, Dookuzot unfolds like a labyrinth, where shadowy corridors give rise to textures, shapes, and fragments of memories that never existed. Are you the hunter, or are you being hunted? Neither tempo nor zeitgeist grounds the EP; instead, it conjures a citadel of sound—an intricate fortification of motion and stillness. Like a medieval quest, Dookuzot sends you into the wilderness, armed with arcane energy, urging you to explore the blurred lines between the familiar and the strange. Yet, as one absorbs the full story, a central motif emerges among the obscure artefacts: brotherhood—evoking a shared yet deeply personal ancestral resonance.

Cryptic, unnerving, and undeniably strange, Dookuzot doesn’t ask you to move—it compels you. With this debut, Floid and W92 draw you into their world, setting the stage for a vision that is both enthralling and forward-thinking.

No saviour is left but music hereafter, and she is here to stay. 

On the solar plateau stands a flower in the everlong song of a midsummer’s eve. Never will her sounding petals abandon her post of prosperity. Let there be light - and shine forth it will well as it should. Let there be hope - for forward it beckons will well as it should. Yes, let there be music - for there is no higher hope than that voice which brings itself to sing - and sing it will well as it should!

A: "Furby - they are soft, brightly coloured, gender fluid and nostalgic. They also look great with sunglasses and are very stylish. Within each Furby I have, is a little piece of myself."

UK-born, Amsterdam-based writer and DJ LNR has recorded a FLINTA-focused mix for us. Inspired by the collective dialogue between her journalistic research surrounding dance music history and her obsession with collecting old-school vinyl, the multi-disciplined artist translates pen to wax by creating journeys centred around fluid iterations of sound system culture. Exploring refractions of music in the hardcore and psychedelic spectrums and integrating technological rawness with dissociative coils, LNR has played alongside 90s legends like 69db from Spiral Tribe, Eat Static, Felix K, μ-Ziq, and Scion, and has DJ'd in Amsterdam's Garage 
Noord and for Belgium's free party collective, V23. 

In this mix, however, LNR has ditched her usual vinyl-only format to highlight a talented array of FLINTA artists, including music from the feminist freetekno collective Witchcraft rec, and producers Nkisi, Azu Tiwaline, Saskia, DJ Sofa, c00, gi, Laura STZ, Freeman 713, Kan10, DJ Spice, and Liza N Eliaz. The latter was the earliest trans woman in hardcore, according to LNR's research. "She co-produced the first ever Bonzai record before Jones & Stephenson's 'The First Rebirth' came out and made the label go crazy," LNR told us. "Sadly she died in 2001 but it felt important to me to include her music in this mix. Shout out to other old-school female techno, hardcore, and jungle legends who didn't make the mix this time: Ixindamix, Laura Grabb, Miss Djax, Kemistry & Storm, and DJ Rap."

Konsudd finds the hyperkinetic Konduku (@kondukukonduku) teaming up with close pal Aa Sudd (@aasudd) as they match subtlety with intensity. Their high-definition production leads on these spacious works of art, with dynamic layers of atmospherics punctured by dense kick drums. They take care to address soundsystem physicality, loading their kicks with irresistible subs down low and finely chiselling the double-time rhythms up top for an extra boost of energy.

Composer, producer, and DJ dragongirl has recorded a mix for us featuring some of her own tracks too. Having released her critically acclaimed debut album 'hot blue' on the Norwegian label Sheep Chase Records in 2023, dragongirl has since brought her vibrant sound to some of Northern Europe's most well-known clubs and festivals including Denmark's Den Anden Side, Berlin's OST and OXI, and Kaleido Festival. Her sets blend trance, techno and happy hardcore with influences from Eurodance, gabber and EDM, inviting her audience on a playful and unexpected adventure. And that's exactly what dragongirl mirrors in this week's mix.

The Barcelona-based artist also includes tracks from her upcoming album, dropping June 5th. Having released several contributions to VAs on Clan Destine Records, low income $quad, and Last Love Records, they have also delivered music to Human Club; a label based in Barcelona's Razzmatazz, where they are a resident DJ and run their own party CALIENTE. Additionally, YOZY has played for parties and festivals like Boiler Room x Primavera Sound, Raiders, Suicide Club, Voight-Kampff, Latineo, and many more. Plus, their monthly radio show on HKCR called 'Messages from the stars' has recently transformed into an IRL ambient showcase.

A: “Our dream B3B, it’s actually really easy to say, it also might seem silly with a sea of incredible artists to pick from. Especially all the producers here whose tracks we deeply connect with. However when It comes to it, we would have to choose our dear friend and chosen family member @0ccyx. We are a trio in our own way, always looking at the sound system, talking about our favourite artists and productions. We do what we love with each other which is: dance, scheme, run parties and continuously push each other to find the next most otherworldly track which we’ll not stop talking about for weeks. Bristol-based duo Field Case share a winding mix for us, snaking through slow-burning rhythms, meditative beats, and mystical soundscapes, exploring the deepest and most cerebral shades of techno. DJs Petrachore and Ohana are behind Field Case and began the project after meeting by chance in early 2023. They then formed Bristol’s first-ever queer community radio station, Transgression.fm, to showcase artists in the city’s creative realm. These days, Field Case are residents of Bristol events RTN and Queerky, where they continue to meld their differing musical backgrounds and sonic palettes. Their journey together has defined their sound, character and mystery, and we’re delighted to share a taster of that on this week’s mix.
