After four years of our activity there is a time for a short summary. We present you a set, which consists of previously released tunes in our label. It's 14 tracks recorded by 6 artists/projects, a mix of techno, deep techno and dub techno given in a hypnotic, hour long form. This is also a first part of the Minicromusic Rec. Podcast series.

W siódmym odcinku serii podcastów BTS prezentujemy postać Piotra Klejmenta. Piotr, aka Dj Ninja to dj i producent, który wyrósł na warszawskiej scenie. Jeden z członków kolektywu i wytwórni Technosoul, autor pierwszego wydawnictwa polskiej oficyny. Poniżej słowa od samego Piotra, które są komentarzem do podcastu:
„Zawsze lubiłem brzmienie funky w techno. To chyba logiczne, że jestem psychofanem Roberta Hooda i Dave Clarke. Uczyłem się grać słuchając ich setów, oczywiście mamy 2014 rok, muzyka poszła do przodu. Grywam nowe rzeczy bo są świeże, dobre i wyznaczają to co będzie dziać się za pewnie czas, bo je lubię. Ale nie odrywam się od przeszłości, lubię też stare ghetto teki z Detroit. Ideą mixu był przekrój tego co lubię, tego nad czym obecnie pracuje ja i moi koledzy. Słucham setów Derricka Maya, który za każdym razem zabiera mnie gdzieś w podróż po swoich stylach, wiec ja chce robić ze słuchaczem to samo. To mój sposób na mix.”

EN: In the seventh episode series of BTS podcasts, present form of Piotr Klejment. Piotr, aka Dj Ninja is a DJ and producer who grew up on the Warsaw stage. 22-year old Piotr Klejment, known as Ninja, won a prestigious national DJ contest and, few months later, stood behind the decks and before a huge audience at the Mayday festival in Katowice. Then he became the artistic manager of two clubs in Warsaw: M25 and Tomba Tomba, which allowed him to become the first promoter in Poland who booked the "trio" from Detroit: Juan Atkins, Jeff Mills and Kevin Saunderson, as well as Robert Hood later on. He also started cooperating with Echoplex (with whom he created the Detour duo), organizing Warsaw's first squat parties with electronic music, as well as recording the legendary 'Experience' mix series that reached thousands of listeners. Today Piotr Klejment is a member of the Technosoul collective and co-creates the Technosoul scene at the Original Source Up To Date Festival which takes place in Bialystok, Poland. Recently, Technosoul has also become a record label - on its first release there are Piotr's tracks remixed by Perc and Sleeparchive. Love for techno music is a huge force which every person develops and experiences in their own unique way. Piotr began with studying almost all music genres that exist, as well as with fascination with the paintings of Basquiat, the hip-hop culture of 80s and 90s, Polish jazz, street fashion, Ninja Tune records, Tri Angle, as well as with Zomby... The list is much longer. Mixing all of the above resulted in arriving at the biggest and the most influential force in his life - techno.
The following words from Peter himself, which is a commentary to the podcast: “I always like the sound of funky techno. I think it's logical that I'm psychofan of Robert Hood and Dave Clarke. I learned to play by listening to them of sets, of course we have 2014 year, the music went to the front. I play new things because they are fresh, good and determine what will happen for sure the time, and because I like them. I didn't pull away from the past, I like too old ghetto of Detroit. 
The idea behind the mix was the cross-section of what I like, this is currently working on what I and my colleagues. 
Everytime when I am listening the sets of Derrick, it's every time takes me somewhere in the trip after their styles, so I want to do with the listener the same. This is my way to mix.”

About Sylwia:

Sylwia is a DJ and producer, currently based in Berlin.

She was originally half of the duo Sentel, whose first EP, Chapel 20 for Concrete Cut, took them to London-based Granholme Records, for which they released the vinyl 12" Shut Your Eyes in 2011. The EP was well-received in the UK underground scene.

Sywia's solo musical career started in Kraków, Poland, where she helped organize and performed at several large-scale music events. She has shared the stage with artists such as Neil Landstrumm, Inigo Kennedy, Perc, AnD, Recondite, Blawan and more, bringing raw, dark, industrial soundscapes to her techno. After moving to Berlin, she continued to follow her vision of music, taking a lot of inspiration from the scene and atmosphere of the city, which led her to perform on CTM Festival at Panorama Bar in 2014. Sylwia's sets honestly engage her current interests rather than passing trends, where the audience is invited to be part of the musical journey.

Amsterdam imprint Indigo Aera is very excited to welcome Private Press to the label family. The talented duo from Warsaw made a really strong impression with their debut release on Technosoul in 2016. The four untitled jams released on that debut EP found their way into many DJ sets across Europe and its techno dancefloors.

In 2018, Private Press will release three EPs on Indigo Aera. On this first EP the duo from Poland mixes a strong blend of 90's sounding techno with dub and breakbeats into two original tracks. To give them a warm welcome, label owners Jasper Wolff & Maarten Mittendorff took care of the B-side for two reworks making it a proper Warsaw-Amsterdam affair.
