'The latest release on Hicky & Kalo's label Plaisirs Sonores Records is a scintillating package, which brings together two titans of the progressive scene. The EP features two progressive house legends; Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren alongside their collaborators Soundexile and Nicolas Rada. They have both remixed tracks taken from the most recent Hicky & Kalo EP 'Borealis'.

It's been quite a ride for Hicky & Kalo in the last 18 months. The young duo have made a name for themselves in the progressive house scene with a string of quality releases, including a collaboration with Seth Schwarz and releases on Hernan Cattaneo's label Sudbeat and Cid Inc's label Replug. In the meantime, they were remixed by both Rodriguez Jr. and Sahar Z. The reaction to their latest EP 'Borealis' was quite something and the title track was even in the Top 100 Beatport Progressive House for 67 days.

With this powerhouse remix EP now on the way, it is surely the cherry on top of a momentous last 18 months. We hope you enjoy it!'

"As passionate as he is talented, Imran Khan returns to Meanwhile with a second original EP in the shape of “Equinox”.
 
A growing portfolio of tracks on an array of esteemed imprints has seen Imran Khan’s reputation grow steadily since a 2017 debut on Massive Harmony Records. With a distinctive deep and powerful sound that has gone on to see him feature on the likes of Clinique, Particles and Proton Music, the UK star admits, “I love making electronic music”.
 
A pair of remixes for GMJ & Matter’s “Lost on Origin” represented a Meanwhile debut in April 2020, while February 2021’s “Push Thru / Horizonz” was another notable highlight, showcasing Khan’s craftsmanship with an original EP debut. Now returning with a second offering, the three-track “Equinox” is another masterful addition to the Meanwhile catalogue.
 
Opening proceedings, the title track glitters in a velvety night sky where pinpricks of melodic light illuminate a cavernous bassline. White-noise pans in gentle waves across the stereo spectrum as thickly stratified pads join forces in synthesised union. A true force of nature erupts in symmetrical brilliance where “Equinox” delivers a timeless masterpiece.
 
Full of groove-inspired character, “Generator” builds a new powerline. Heavy bass sequences spawn a heady concoction of low-end energy that revolves in perpetual cycles. Rhythmic dynamism develops in hypnotic patterns as subtle synth motifs are charged by rib-cracking kick and syncopated vitality.
 
Rhythmic intricacy and poise form “In My Head” where popping percussion delivers a vibrant framework that fizzes with brio and intensity. Pulsating waves of sound vibrate in aural synchronicity around ethereal vocal touches, and gentle melodic juxtaposition revolves around a heady mixture of exquisite suspense that represents a new conduit for machine-generated sounds.
 
Through beautiful sonic symmetry where rhythm and melody are balanced with immaculate precision, a new “Equinox” emerges from the brilliant mind of Imran Khan."

The 73rd release on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital begins 2020 with the sparkling "So Corrupted" from Mehmet Akar. A pair of outstanding remixes by veteran producers Sezer Uysal and Nihil Young 

A producer with a rich artistic pedigree, Mehmet Akar quickly found himself making a sizeable impression in the underground dance fraternity. After success with his "Deep Sounds" and "2nd Resurrection" radio shows, the Turkish producer has hit the headlines with over 150 track credits for some of the industry's finest imprints. Moreover, as a winner of Sasha's "Cut Me Down" remix competition and a 2011 release on Last Night On Earth, Akar has gone on to see his music feature on Global Underground, Beatfreak Recordings, and Outside The Box. Making his debut as part of the "ADE 2017 Sampler", Mehmet Akar returns to Perspectives Digital with the mesmerizing "So Corrupted".

Fellow Turkish DJ and producer, Sezer Uysal, needs little introduction to the Perspectives Digital faithful. An artist of global renown, his work has been signed to a myriad of high-profile imprints that include Stil Vor Talent, Suara, and a remix from Pig & Dan on ELEVATE. Formerly an official remixer for Ministry of Sound and supported by DJ A-listers including Pete Tong, John Digweed, and Hernan Cattaneo, a Perspectives Digital debut sees Sezer Uysal rework "So Corrupted" in inspiring fashion.

Both successful high-profile artists in their own rights, Nihil Young and Talal have found further achievement as a creative duo. Over 1 million streams of his track "Align" has seen Young stand out in a crowded market. His music for Kindisch, Warung, and his own Frequenza Records has seen the Italian produce highly original melodic, deep, and progressive house with a sprinkling of techno. Joining forces with Talal, the London based producer has been a key figure at events including Robot Hearts, Cream Amnesia Ibiza, and Amsterdam Dance Event. Music signed to the likes of Dear Deer, Natura Viva, and Colore have subsequently seen over a century of credits supported by Maceo Plex and Solomun.

Klassified proudly presents Nhii’s new EP, 'Gone Too Far';
An intensely deep and evolving musical journey, centred around the message of the self inflicted problems that humanity have caused to our planet.
Nhii and Shyam P teamed up for the first time to deliver a powerful, moving and at times, dark anthem which has been inspired by mother nature’s cries for help and the current repercussions of a world in which we must change to survive.

Remix duties are supplied by German native Niko Schwind as well as Israeli producer and self professed eternal smiler Jenia Tarsol. Schwind's cut drives forward with a melodic heartbeat and mesmerising vocals that drift across the length and breadth of the release. A melancholic message sits deep within the music, yet Schwind's version expertly exudes the right injection of emotion.

Next up drops Tarsol's adaption. Breakbeat undertones set the pace, hypnotic percussive elements filter through, a hybrid middle eastern-esque rhythm that pays hommage to Jenia's routes, but subtly housed in a more modern electronic aethetic. It's an early morning riser, a hands in the air moment, but more purposefully, a time for reflection about the footprint that we leave throughout life.
