Chaz is defying convention and forging his own path through the revered underground current. Approaching his soundscapes with the care of a scrupulous artisan, adding pensive electricity through interesting details — a methodology that has accrued him constant praise from distinguished artistic figures.

The man behind the project, Akshay shares his time between being a music programmer, booker, and an artist. He represents a new generation of artists who not only avoid over-elaboration and unnecessary attachments, but also live on an energetic aura that knows about the past while spreading its tentacles in the present.

Born in the province of Tacna, Andrea Zapata began after studying electronic music production and DJ courses at 'Project Media'. As a young woman she was always interested and excited every time she found tracks she liked. During the pandemic, she explored new music and artists who inspired her to experiment with different styles within the genre.

Andrea always offers an unpredictable journey, her sets are usually loaded with linear rhythms together with extravagant sounds that create a hypnotic atmosphere and take the listener to a state of peace of mind. 
For her, music is a connection that occurs with the listener. The deep and hypnotic techno genres as well as the experimental and its subgenres are what define it. She finds a lot of inspiration every time she gets out of her daily life and gets in touch with nature. 
At the moment she is waiting for her first release, an EP for KVLTÖ Records (Mexico) this year.

Over the years, the French producer Clarence Rise has developed a strong musical identity, always gaining in intensity and singularity, where incisive techno mixes with the icy atmospheres of coldwave. Some people characterize his work as cinematic electronics or “Cold Techno”, with a strong emphasis on complex rhythms, dark sound design and contemplative melancholy.

Author of several releases on different labels (Indefinite Pitch, Crescent London, Khoros, Chez KitoKat, Bella Ursa, Spazio Magnetico...) and different media, this DJ and live artist makes his shows real journeys, as dynamic as introspective.

Gli antichi greci credevano nell'acqua come fonte primordiale d'ogni cosa: fu dai capelli di Venere che nacquero le cascate dietro le quali si celavano le ninfe Oreadi durante il corso della notte, lontane dagli uomini fallacei e troppo terreni.
L'incipit di questo viaggio è un suono fluido, forse lo stesso dello scorrere e scrosciare di quella cascata ninfica, o così ci piace pensare. Tra mito e magia, il trasporto lento e profondo di questo set. Un soundscape curato ed elegante, confezionato da Hoedus per la decima puntata della nostra podcast series. Based in NYC, Matt Altman is a young producer/dj specializing in the percussive and cerebral sounds of techno. Drawing from his drum driven background, and time at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, he has had releases on prestigious labels such as trau-ma in Portugal, Business Class Records in Colombia, among others. Matt has played at some of NYC’s most renowned clubs such as Bossa Nova Civic Club, Cielo, and Output, playing for parties such as EXILE, Cipher, Push The Night, and Techno Cabin since moving to Brooklyn in 2016. With the launch of his label ALT Records and becoming a resident of the new and enticing SYITS crew, 2020 is shaping up to be his biggest year yet.

ABOUT US

TechnoTrippin' was established in the early 2014 in Barcelona to support the small techno scene that was emerging slowly but intensely.

In 2015 "Techno in the Forest", an underground festival on the outskirts of Barcelona, was born with the idea of creating strong links between artists, collectives, labels, dancers and everyone related to the underground scene in the city.
After 4 unforgettable editions, we decided we had accomplished our objective of uniting the scene and Techno in the Forest celebrated its last memorable gathering in 2018.

Since then, we have been operating only as a non-profit underground techno platform releasing podcasts & premieres from artists and labels around the globe.

In 2024, celebrating our 10th Anniversary, we launched our solidary techno label, focused on releasing music to help people who are in terryfing situations.

All the proceeds from all releases will go to different NGOs like Save The Children, UNRWA and Open Arms.*

We plan to put on another TechnoTrippin' in the Forest (V). We feel it's time again, after the pandemic, to support and unite the local techno scene by providing an unrivalled quality sound system, a place surrounded by nature, and an atmosphere that reflects the fact that we are not in it for the money. We put our heart and soul into it, simply because we can, and for us, techno is a way of life.
