Born in the province of Tacna, Andrea Zapata began after studying electronic music production and DJ courses at 'Project Media'. As a young woman she was always interested and excited every time she found tracks she liked. During the pandemic, she explored new music and artists who inspired her to experiment with different styles within the genre.

Andrea always offers an unpredictable journey, her sets are usually loaded with linear rhythms together with extravagant sounds that create a hypnotic atmosphere and take the listener to a state of peace of mind. 
For her, music is a connection that occurs with the listener. The deep and hypnotic techno genres as well as the experimental and its subgenres are what define it. She finds a lot of inspiration every time she gets out of her daily life and gets in touch with nature. 
At the moment she is waiting for her first release, an EP for KVLTÖ Records (Mexico) this year.

We are delighted to welcome Chapter records curator Anika Kunst. Hailing from spain, Anika has started her career 15 years ago and has broadened her definition of Techno since then. The search of developing a distinctive style led her to what it seems to be a natural step in a dj career, the introduction in the production scene.

In early 2014 she launches her vinyl imprint, facing the techno in all its forms, and teaming up with great artists such as Architectural as a remixer.

Currently, she is a resident of The Pharm party in Pacha Ibiza, has her own party in Macarena club, called Technológica, and has just joined the team of one of the best techno parties in Spain, Insert.

Thanks to a finely sorted selection, Anika comes out with this amazing tension-generating and floor-oriented mix. Enjoy and don’t forget to share it if you like it!

Instead of writing a biography filled with meaningless quotes and a generic ‘played at’ or ‘shared line-up with’ timeline, here is a no nonsense description of what he's about.
A fitting short version would be a deejay in a producers age. The main focus will always be deejaying, entertaining, getting kicks out of being in control of an audience waiting for your next trick, track or move. Doesn’t matter if it's warming up, performing at peak time or closing… the challenge is to own that moment and to make it fit in the musical trip people are taking that night.
This is the challenge he lives for, this drives and motivates him.
His passion for music in general is the best foundation to keep that drive going. Crate digging (digital or analog) continuously to find that one track that nobody knows, to play at the right moment to create the right vibe. The versatility of techno and the freedom that you have when playing make it easy to keep sparking that passion for the genre, reliving the moment when he himself experienced it all for the first time when he started going out. The mystery that surrounds a dj is something he wants to keep alive, you need to pay attention and experience the moment instead of using Shazam or taking selfies.
Whether it’s vinyl or digital, old or new, raw or deep and hypnotic - finding that right combination of tracks to create a fulfilling set for both the crowd and himself is the most rewarding. Using extra samples, effects and 3 deck mixing to get the energy for that moment right and tell your story. As Dave Clarke put it to words back in 2008, words I have cherished till this day: ‘double u jay’s mix told a story and was a cross-section of multiple subgenres of techno, he deserves to play’.
Over the last years it has become clear to him that the art of deejaying and having a certain skill set has become secondary to having releases and strong marketing. For him, it’s not about playing more but about playing better, making sure that every set makes sense and brings value to the crowd and also to the organiser that had a vision and experience in mind when the concept was created.

Stigmatique’s music is dark, spherical, raw and energetic influences characterised by, which go hand in hand with the constant change and harmony. His sets feature whiptail, driving but also spherical break-tones and rhythms, that pull the listener into a rousing sound world.
Almost one year ago the 27-year-old artist also started with the production of own stuff. In winter 2017 founded with his very good friend and musical partner JANEIN, a label which is called SEELEN. Anyone who approaches Techno music with intelligence and finesse is exactly in the right place with C.7even, because the young Frankfurt- native has her craft down to a tee. She found her way into electronic music back in 2009, shaped by many musical genres.

Contrary to many others, her style is constantly evolving and driven by the passion to constantly reinvent herself.Groovy-melodic, mystic- hypnotic, straightforward-uncompromising- this is what she embodies, but she still has always a clear vision her mind of the story that she wants to tell through the medium of electronic sounds.

“A DJ set has to make sense to me, Im no fan of the approach to just step behind the decks and blindly improvise my way through my playtime- Im always aware of what it is that I want to convey to my audience. That moment, when you ignite that spark in your audience- when the dancefloor really lets loose and people follow your leadership- that feeling just cannot be bought, that’s why I personally prefer longer sets (4-5 hours or more) over short and compressed playtimes. You can unfold and spread your wings so much more, and the connection between you and your audience gets so much deeper and more intense.

In terms of own productions, C.7even doesn’t have anything official under her belt yet- but she doesn’t have to, because good stuff takes his time and her sets more than speak for themselves.“im really not a patient person, that’s why I might need more time than others to complete projects. But I refuse to give in to outside pressure- nowadays everybody says “you have to produce, you have to promote events, you have to do this and you have to do that in order to progress...

„I rather focus on the things that I am good at and what I can represent and stand by to 100%,I wont tolerate a flood of releases and half-assed stuff. That’s why my general rule is: “less is more.”

ABOUT US

TechnoTrippin' was established in the early 2014 in Barcelona to support the small techno scene that was emerging slowly but intensely.

In 2015 "Techno in the Forest", an underground festival on the outskirts of Barcelona, was born with the idea of creating strong links between artists, collectives, labels, dancers and everyone related to the underground scene in the city.
After 4 unforgettable editions, we decided we had accomplished our objective of uniting the scene and Techno in the Forest celebrated its last memorable gathering in 2018.

Since then, we have been operating only as a non-profit underground techno platform releasing podcasts & premieres from artists and labels around the globe.

In 2024, celebrating our 10th Anniversary, we launched our solidary techno label, focused on releasing music to help people who are in terryfing situations.

All the proceeds from all releases will go to different NGOs like Save The Children, UNRWA and Open Arms.*

We plan to put on another TechnoTrippin' in the Forest (V). We feel it's time again, after the pandemic, to support and unite the local techno scene by providing an unrivalled quality sound system, a place surrounded by nature, and an atmosphere that reflects the fact that we are not in it for the money. We put our heart and soul into it, simply because we can, and for us, techno is a way of life.
