Very happy to have Jephta deliver this week’s mix and kickstart 2022. As both organizer and resident of the Embodiment event series, Jephta secures the spirit of a particularly strong movement. Their no-nonsense vision of pure, fierce grooves has been successfully pushed over the last years through eventful celebrations and the rock-solid ‘SALON’ mix series. We will definitely stay patient and look forward to joining one of their next nights at Rotterdam’s Perron when the dust has settled.

The man behind the project, Akshay shares his time between being a music programmer, booker, and an artist. He represents a new generation of artists who not only avoid over-elaboration and unnecessary attachments, but also live on an energetic aura that knows about the past while spreading its tentacles in the present.

Dianthe is a Siberia-born, USA West Coast-raised techno producer and DJ. 
Having been a musician from a very young age with classical piano, music was always a big part of her life. She experimented with melodic techno for several years before solidifying her sound in the deep/hypnotic techno genre. 
Dianthe had a promising start with her project when she released her first single “Mayhem City” on NODE (Barcelona), as well as her first full-length EP on DORIAN with remixes from Dorian and Isabel Soto. 
Dianthe holds residencies at several clubs on the West Coast of the United States, and played multiple stages at Burning Man Festival in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada. 
Her vision is to share her dark, cinematic, atmospheric sound while connecting with ecstatic dance floors across the globe.

@smansky, DJ from Łódź City, Poland. For over 20 years he has been participating in the club scene in Łódź, has decided to vent his passion. Raised on Old School, Jungle, D'n'B, tapes recorded from the radio and VHS tapes from electronic music TV programs from Viva, Viva Zwei, MTV. Then he fell in love with electronics like Autechre, Aphex Twin, Vladislav Delay, The Black Dog, Monolake, Plastikman, and Jeff Mills. Currently, he draws inspiration from sets of artists like Donato Dozzy, Neel, Dasha Rush, Takaaki Itoh, Marco Shuttle, Mary Yuzovskaya, Shifted, Adiel, Abdulla Rashim. He loves techno in the style of hypnotic, deep, broken beats, offbeat, abstract, ambient. 

He tries to include his love for rhythm and percussion in his sets, he
tries not to follow trends and draws from various trends and eras of electronic music. Currently wants to hone a skills playing from vinyls.

ABOUT US

TechnoTrippin' was established in the early 2014 in Barcelona to support the small techno scene that was emerging slowly but intensely.

In 2015 "Techno in the Forest", an underground festival on the outskirts of Barcelona, was born with the idea of creating strong links between artists, collectives, labels, dancers and everyone related to the underground scene in the city.
After 4 unforgettable editions, we decided we had accomplished our objective of uniting the scene and Techno in the Forest celebrated its last memorable gathering in 2018.

Since then, we have been operating only as a non-profit underground techno platform releasing podcasts & premieres from artists and labels around the globe.

In 2024, celebrating our 10th Anniversary, we launched our solidary techno label, focused on releasing music to help people who are in terryfing situations.

All the proceeds from all releases will go to different NGOs like Save The Children, UNRWA and Open Arms.*

We plan to put on another TechnoTrippin' in the Forest (V). We feel it's time again, after the pandemic, to support and unite the local techno scene by providing an unrivalled quality sound system, a place surrounded by nature, and an atmosphere that reflects the fact that we are not in it for the money. We put our heart and soul into it, simply because we can, and for us, techno is a way of life.
