Debuting his first release ever on DREF's The Nursery Series, Distøne has already impressed more than a few artists. His track "4tracker" gained a lot of support by some of techno's greats.

With his album titled "Computer Music" Divide indulges in the creation of a transversal narrative, a multidimensional dialect from which ensues a rich tonal palette. A self conquered territory where we’re allowed to stray off the intended path and act as explorers of his gripping and gritty reality.

Now, a high-quality selection of interpreters take tracks from the album and give them new life. For this Remixed project, HAYES has called on the skills of a list of esteemed producers including Pfirter here, but also Nørbak, Temudo, Oisel & Evod and Ichizo (a new alias from Nørbak).

Los mitos y las leyendas han servido como herramienta de arraigamiento cultural para los pueblos latinoamericanos, evocan la sabiduría ancestral de los viejos de la aldea, que reunían pequeños grupos de niños para cautivarles con las historias y que sirvieran como lineamiento para el desarrollo y crecimiento de sus culturas. En Illegal Alien Records, hemos decidido rendir un homenaje a las historias populares mexicanas que en forma de mitos y leyendas han logrado trascender a través de generaciones y generaciones. Hemos invitado a participar por primera vez a artistas mexicanos del más alto nivel, quienes se han encargado de musicalizar estas pequeñas gotas de agua cristalina de las que se compone el gigantesco océano cultural del que estamos compuestos. A nivel imagen hemos trabajado en la representación y homenaje al arte huichol que representa la Mexicanidad más pura y real, lejos de nacionalismos pero con la intención de la difusión del arte y cultura de una región sagrada como la Mexicana.
Ante el grandioso trabajo gráfico y musical, decidimos realizar un tiraje limitado, edición especial en formato Cassette y Digital, que estará disponible en tiendas el día Viernes 25 de Septiembre del 2020.


Myths and legends have served as a tool of cultural roots for Latin American peoples, they evoke the ancestral wisdom of the old men of in village, who gathered small groups of children to captivate them with the stories and that served as guidelines for the development and growth of their cultures. In illegal alien, we have decided to pay homage to popular Mexican stories that in the form of myths and legends have managed to transcend through generations and generations. We have invited Mexican artists of at highest level to participate for the first time, who have been in charge of musicalizing these small drops of crystalline water that make up the gigantic cultural ocean of which we are composed. At the image level, we have worked on the representation and tribute to Huichol art that represents the purest and most real Mexicanity, far from nationalisms but with the intention of disseminating the art and culture of a sacred region like Mexico.
Given to the great graphic and musical work, we decided to make a limited run of high quality Cassette Edition and Digital format, which will be available in stores on Friday, September 25th of 2020.

'Windows To Nothing', is the sound representation of a path full of contrasts, beautiful settings and sudden changes of energy. Following his prior contributions to Faut Section, SUB tl and Illegal Alien records Asier Morillas brings the A4 (ES) flavour to Observant. The Spanish producer’s four-tracker is armed with heavyweight textures, deep kicks and metallic percussive patterns displaying his abstract abilities while keeping it groovy and warm securing his ranks with the techno avant-garde.

The opener 'Research Considerations' is a grinding conveyer belt of forward rhythmic movement surrounded by frictional tension. An array of malfunctioning electronics binds the plot to an intergalactic expedition on 'Space Alarm at 5 AM'. Dwelling into deeper territories on 'Nobody Knows His Whereabouts' shuffled hi-hats and whizzing noises contrast the meditative bleeps. The final offing is a dj tool a la 'Ventricular Contraction', an introspective atmosphere flooded with pensive dissonance of retro-futurism.

“Desplazamiento al Rojo” (Redshift) on @anaohrecords is a sound work inspired by the physical phenomenon that occurs when the radiation of light that is emitted or reflected by an object increases in wavelength. Although this applies to celestial objects, its foundation can be associated with acoustic phenomena, such as the Doppler effect, where there’s a change in the perceived frequency of sound waves when the source moves relative to the observer. 

The main track of this sound work is based on a solid and pounding groove, covered by a series of hypnotic tones with wide and evolving soundscapes with a sci-fi vibe. Two ambient pieces complement this release with a vision focused on soundscapes that reflect the spectral displacements during the expansion of space and the dilation of time with interaction of harmonic and inharmonic frequencies. To close the release, the track 'Desplazamiento al Rojo' has been masterfully remixed by Mike Storm, impregnating its distinctive sound to give the final touch to this reference.

ABOUT US

TechnoTrippin' was established in the early 2014 in Barcelona to support the small techno scene that was emerging slowly but intensely.

In 2015 "Techno in the Forest", an underground festival on the outskirts of Barcelona, was born with the idea of creating strong links between artists, collectives, labels, dancers and everyone related to the underground scene in the city.
After 4 unforgettable editions, we decided we had accomplished our objective of uniting the scene and Techno in the Forest celebrated its last memorable gathering in 2018.

Since then, we have been operating only as a non-profit underground techno platform releasing podcasts & premieres from artists and labels around the globe.

In 2024, celebrating our 10th Anniversary, we launched our solidary techno label, focused on releasing music to help people who are in terryfing situations.

All the proceeds from all releases will go to different NGOs like Save The Children, UNRWA and Open Arms.*

We plan to put on another TechnoTrippin' in the Forest (V). We feel it's time again, after the pandemic, to support and unite the local techno scene by providing an unrivalled quality sound system, a place surrounded by nature, and an atmosphere that reflects the fact that we are not in it for the money. We put our heart and soul into it, simply because we can, and for us, techno is a way of life.
