Joaquin Ruiz (1991) is a DJ/producer from the West Side of Buenos Aires, with a residency at the well-known Under Club.
Ambitious and always looking for new challenges and opportunities, JR is definitely one of the newest emerging talents from the techno music scene in Argentina.
He announces the upcoming Release of INHERENCIA inspired by the mental states he experienced during the pandemic.
The EP has a more minimalist but deep identity, without losing the rhythmic, entering sometimes in a state of Paranoia, immersed in oneself, looking for exits sometimes from a loop that torments our lives more than necessary. The Remix done by Lucas Vazz is a groove-driven breaky track spiced up with a recording of his voice. Hypnotic Groove. Other Perspective has a more hypnotic side, and reflective without the search for the classic Four to the floor, finding a natural therapy reflected through the movement of particles through the sound. Xhei's Remix has an industrial breaky groove immersed in a hypnotic atmosphere.
The internal personal analysis in the face of a personal crisis, has much atmosphere and spaces, it does not seek the explosion, but the exploration.

Before each culture, aim for human instinctive consciousness. Kleśa EP expresses suffering through the inherent origins and dialects of various human culture.

Through the Buddhist term 'Kleśa', which means mental suffering and anguish, the pain and repentance stemming from personal experiences and memories are captured. 'Anusaya' that endures pain through wisdom. 'Bandha' that blocks pain with a posture of abstinence. The theme sings the desire to overcome the pain starting with two postures.

Más de veinte años como dj, dos sellos activos: End Of Dayz y Rhythm Control Barcelona, este segundo homónimo de su tienda de discos abrió en 2016. Dj Bruce Lee es un clásico de la escena barcelonesa, ha pasado por casi todos los clubs donde programan house y techno de calidad de la ciudad durante todos estos años. También ha actuado en ciudades de España como Madrid, Bilbao, Pamplona, Valencia, Ourense o Zaragoza, así como fuera de la península, como el Griessmuehle de Berlín. Lo hemos podido ver en festivales 
como Sónar Barcelona, Primavera Sound o DGTL. Sus servicios son reclamados por djs internacionales que visitan la ciudad. El último par de años está desarrollando su faceta como productor llegando a publicar en el sello estadounidense Urban Kickz Recordings y sus temas son pinchados por algunos de los grandes como Surgeon, Dave Clarke o Ben Sims.

Archaic Podcast 361 - Dj Bruce Lee

DJ, musician, producer, radio speaker, promoter, journalist and tout-court divulgator of the "electronic message", Andrea Benedetti is involved in the most important realities coming out from Rome since the very early days, he has played a crucial role in shaping and developing the so called "Sound Of Rome".

His love for electronic music led him to start his carreer in the '80s as a DJ, spinning electro and electrofunk. While already working in his own recording studio (with Eugenio Vatta), in 1990 he provided his precious help to Lory D in creating SNS - Sounds Never Seen, the first italian experimental techno label, contributing to the first SNS releases (SNS001, SNS002, SNS003 and the 'Antisystem' LP). 

Then he has released his works since 1991 using different aliases (Sprawl, Skull, New Acid Generation, etc.) and with Eugenio Vatta he is part of Frame, a live-only project which aims to experiment with sounds (in their lives they use quadrophonic sound systems). Always with Eugenio Vatta, he's released an EP on Mystic Records as The Experience. In 1993 he founded his very own Plasmek label (hosting works by such artists as I-F, Anthony Rother and Keith Tucker among the others).

Always in 1993 he created Tunnel, the first italian techno music fanzine, and in 1994 he co-founded the Remix Distribution (alongside Marco Passarani) and FinalFrontier (again with long term friend Marco Passarani) the first pool of roman indipendent electronic labels (including Passarani's Nature Records, his own Plasmek, D'Arcangelo's Engine Records, Pigna, X-Forces, Balance Records, etc.). 

During the years, he's been collaborating with some radio stations in Rome (Radio Città Futura, Mondo Radio, Radio Città Aperta) and magazines (Under One Sky - NY; EAR - Strasbourg; Freestyler - Zurich; Orbeat - Naples; Superfly Roma). He's been also a close collaborator, since its first edition in 1995, of the Distorsonie festival in Bologna, surely the most important electronic music festival in Italy. He has also created with Alessio Arcadi, the ElectRoma festival for roman electronic labels only.

Andrea Benedetti is also a regular guest in events, courses and conferences (both as teacher and lecturer), spreading and sharing his knowledge about electronic music. 
In 2007 he has written a book called MONDO TECHNO about the origins of Techno and its diffusion in Italy that was remixed by Christian Zingales in 2018.

ABOUT US

TechnoTrippin' was established in the early 2014 in Barcelona to support the small techno scene that was emerging slowly but intensely.

In 2015 "Techno in the Forest", an underground festival on the outskirts of Barcelona, was born with the idea of creating strong links between artists, collectives, labels, dancers and everyone related to the underground scene in the city.
After 4 unforgettable editions, we decided we had accomplished our objective of uniting the scene and Techno in the Forest celebrated its last memorable gathering in 2018.

Since then, we have been operating only as a non-profit underground techno platform releasing podcasts & premieres from artists and labels around the globe.

In 2024, celebrating our 10th Anniversary, we launched our solidary techno label, focused on releasing music to help people who are in terryfing situations.

All the proceeds from all releases will go to different NGOs like Save The Children, UNRWA and Open Arms.*

We plan to put on another TechnoTrippin' in the Forest (V). We feel it's time again, after the pandemic, to support and unite the local techno scene by providing an unrivalled quality sound system, a place surrounded by nature, and an atmosphere that reflects the fact that we are not in it for the money. We put our heart and soul into it, simply because we can, and for us, techno is a way of life.
