Token celebrates its 100th release with Luke Slater, a legend of the genre, releasing under one of his most iconic aliases: Planetary Assault Systems. For over 25 years, Slater has delivered unparalleled quality in his music - a formative figure in Techno and instrumental in defining the sound globally, few can touch the Brit for depth, urgency and hit rate.

Exhibiting near enough perfect renditions of classic dance-floor moods, the four track EP is a wrought iron rollercoaster through some of the artist’s most exacting work. Booming opener Bang Wap chugs unrelentingly while a lithe FX line does the bulk of the movement in the high mid range - building tension before a satisfying release in the last quarter. A2 Bolt is classic Planetary Assault Systems - hypnotic and driving with a single sequence dipping in and out of view. On the flip, Say It Loud could be an idiosyncratic hit waiting to happen - dry and tight in the drum department for maximum effect, and featuring a recurring vocal sample chopped and skewed for tension. Closer Shine takes a deeper, more psychedelic route with shades of the classic, jacking Detroit sound in the pitch bent lead line, but maintains the energy throughout with stylish delay sends upping the ante where required, all in all delivering a neat finish to the EP.

'Emotional Proficiency' has been the most personal release of STNDRD so far.

Emotional information to guide thinking and behavior, and manage and/or adjust emotions to adapt to environments or goals to achieve.

Going from abstract percusions and textures like in 'Altruism' through fat basslines, metal and percusive synths and drones as you can easily find in 'Apogee' or 'Random Preferences', to a deeper synth or hypnotic bells like in high textured 'Presagio' or 'Transmissions'.
Completed with 2 remixes from T Kode & Uväll.
Italian Berlin based artist T Kode painting more abstract with unconventional grooves that drives you into and hypnotic journey on his 'Transmissions' remix. On the other hand, the Georgian Uväll comes with a groovy, percusive and powerful remix of 'Random Preferences'.

Audio Units return to Qilla, this time with an EP of four original tracks. The title track “Andromeda Continuum” is immersed in an atmosphere of distant textures and transparent squelches laid over a chugging low end. “Geodesic Power Sector” emits bursts of static electricity over a powerful rolling baseline capturing the essence of deep psychedelia. “Equinox of Polaris” combines a ripping drone texture extended by swelling pads creating a symbiosis for a deeper level. “The Code of The Exiled” finishes the EP with raw heat exploring the spectrum between abstraction and depth led by a tearing yet dreamy expanse of crisp synths.

'Parallel Reality' by Various Artists.

Our daily life runs through parallel realities, hypothetical self-contained planes of existence, co-existing with one's own.
We are not able to have a second life, yet there is a second chance to live in a Parallel Reality. Another dimension that runs exactly aligned with the reality we are all living.

An object that symbolizes this concept is a Vinyl record, playing on a turntable. When one side is playing the other side is spinning together parallely with a different information, and is not possible to separate.

ABOUT US

TechnoTrippin' was established in the early 2014 in Barcelona to support the small techno scene that was emerging slowly but intensely.

In 2015 "Techno in the Forest", an underground festival on the outskirts of Barcelona, was born with the idea of creating strong links between artists, collectives, labels, dancers and everyone related to the underground scene in the city.
After 4 unforgettable editions, we decided we had accomplished our objective of uniting the scene and Techno in the Forest celebrated its last memorable gathering in 2018.

Since then, we have been operating only as a non-profit underground techno platform releasing podcasts & premieres from artists and labels around the globe.

In 2024, celebrating our 10th Anniversary, we launched our solidary techno label, focused on releasing music to help people who are in terryfing situations.

All the proceeds from all releases will go to different NGOs like Save The Children, UNRWA and Open Arms.*

We plan to put on another TechnoTrippin' in the Forest (V). We feel it's time again, after the pandemic, to support and unite the local techno scene by providing an unrivalled quality sound system, a place surrounded by nature, and an atmosphere that reflects the fact that we are not in it for the money. We put our heart and soul into it, simply because we can, and for us, techno is a way of life.
